This is because of the dates re the AFL Aerie- normally we play on the first weekend in Oct and AFL last weekend in Sept which usually means AFL around say 26th Sept and us around 3rd of Oct on the long weekend.

With the SANFL now not caring about clashing finals with Crows or Port games they should make future draws so first 2 weeks of finals are on Saturdays, the Prelim on a Friday night and the Grand Final on a Saturday.

It's been like this for years unfortunately. I missed 2004 because of it (although that was a blessing in disguise). I blame the SACA who program a Saturday/Sunday fixture. I know it effects few people, but the way it is done shows a complete disrespect to what should be one of the biggest sporting occasions in this state. I guess these two organizations have never worked together...

Pretty simple really. The AFL traditionally have the GF on the last Saturday of September. Is it to hard for the SACA to start their own tradition and start the cricket season 2nd Saturday of October?

What about the Reserves and other U/19 games in the first 2 weeks?

Where will they be played and on what day?
