You just had to be there - the players moved over to the scoreboard pocket and the groggies in a red and white wave descended from the hill onto the scoreboard terraces - almost a merging of red and white. At the same time cheers went up, the backs of chairs wer e drummed and the rooster chant went up in the stands - it was tribal and gave me goosebumps. Virtually silenced the Sturt supporters who could feel the oncoming inevitability of defeat.
It was something very special, never seen anything like it at SANFL level especially in front of a crowd of only 2500.
The noise, the passion, the vibe was absolutely incredbile, Ive never seen anything close to in a Grand Final.
Andrew Jarman dragged every player, official and water boy over to the Grog Squad pocket of Adelaide Oval, all the time Darren Jarman was on the side of the group waving his arms madly in the air getting the crowd revved up even more.
Something that every North supporter in Grog Squad pocket will remember for the rest of their life. I kid you not.
Ive never seen/felt anything like it before and I hope Im wrong but I doubt I'll see/feel anything like it again, it was truly amazing.
