Siren went as Mahoney was running into the open goal!

Damn....a draw snatched from the jaws of victory....balances the draw we snatched from the jaws of defeat at Alberton...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Showing the value of having instinctive skills on both sides - if he had bashed it on the left boot he would have won the game.

Not sure why the value of such skills is not taught as strongly as it was 10 years ago.

bit dissapointing but the 3rd 1/4 was some of the best footy we have played all year....

Fuller just said Vince and McGregor WILL be available for SANFL finals....hope that means Dougy also!

They teach them to go the percentage play. Imagine if there were 10 seconds left when he grabbed it and not 2 and he banged it on the boot and put it out on the full! Just bad luck the siren went as he was lining them up IMHO, but did the "right" thing by making sure of the result.

Draw means North finish second.

Crows out and didn't look like any had injuries they would be rested for of the playrs who would play finals. But of course, you never can tell for sure. Expect Gill, Griffin, Perrie, McGregor and any I've forgotten to play SANFL finals now. Just a question with Griffin though, with the dogs not playing league next week will he be elegible to play reserves? I wouldn't have thought so but what are the rules on this anomoly?

I see that perspective, but if it were an instinct to kick whichever side was most comfortable and the skills were equal on both sides (it is possible) then they would have won the game. Footy has been over complicated by this line of thinking. Get it, get rid of it as quick as possible - particularly when the game is tied and there is only moments to go!
