North's Draw with South early in 2007

I got sick of the umpteen times on the radio I heard in the month or 2 after the draw with South that the draw was going to cost North a spot in the final ladder that would be crucial.
I never once heard that the draw might actually be of benefit to us.
Well in the end with us sneaking that pt after being down for most of the day against South meant we came 2nd instead of 3rd and if we'd got 1 extra point it wouldn't have meant a thing.
I love hindsight but that's not my point, my point is perhaps people on the radio should weigh up the both aspects of a situation and not just look at the negative especially when the one aspect they go on about never happens more times than not.
