Martch Result - Eagles v Glenelg

Postby Mr Fuller » Sun Sep 23, 2007 3:42 pm

Damn good match. I can't believe how good SANFL footy is.

I thought Glenelg were slowly getting on top of us from halfway into the third but the Eags held on so well.

Jarrad you are a star. Geddes great debut. Treeby mad the most of limited disposal with 4 goals.

Maybe the injuries glenelg suffered during the match had their toll in the outcome. Backwell great last quarter till he went off injured. Holmes is gonna be a star.

Great advertisement r.e. SANFL. Why the hell wouldn't you support it? Fantastic

well done to the eagles, we as per usual tried our guts out to come back from a qtr time deficit, the last quarter was magnificent footy from both teams, but the wwtfc had poise to hang on and be deserved winners, i am one proud tiger supporter right at the moment, our form since we were 1-6 has been bloody terrific and to nearly steal this one from the reigning premiers says a lot for mark mickan and the boys, Jeff Smith you were bloody brilliant today, well done fella
bring on 2008 and GO YOU BAYS!!!!!!!!!

What Stampy said.

In the end the finals experience of eagles shone through and they got the chocolates...

Proud of my boys they never gave in and kept on coming.

Benny Mules fantastic effort to come back from an unfortunate clash of heads and still trough himself around with reckless abandon.

Injuries not an excuse Eagles better on the day and deserved their win, mind you I think Kirky will not do what he did at the end of the 2nd qtr again in his career....(not that it is the reason why we lost).
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

dutch, its been a bad weekend for you old son, chin up, on reflection you will agree its been alright, not the ultimate i know but all in all something to smile about, my time on snouts hill and the last 2 weeks at the holy of holies on the hill has been nothing short of terrific, my 12yr old lad is down like an iraqi fighter plane at the moment but go back to queens birthday weekend when we started our run and you cannot be anything but glad and proud to be a tiger or a roo for that matter, footy is alive and kicking at both clubs and we just have to build on that, i am pissed off that my prediction as to where we would finish is bloody right!!!!!!!!!!

ps. leh you are a legend my friend, hope to catch up next year and as you know its my first shout and i would love to have more thatn one beer with you next time, smac you are a credit to your footy club, and, and yes its right i had a chat with the great wedge man himself today and we had a laugh, for those who dont know we have not been on the best of terms so it was good to catch up, and tony where were you?? looked for you after our match but there was too much red and white around to find you, your shout mate!!
Go The Tiges!!!

Good to meet you also Stampy - staggered to find out you are actually John Bowe (V8 supercar driver)!

I watched the last 1.5 qtrs, and tipped the bays to get up at 3 qtr time, based on 15 minutes of footy. They seemed to squander opportunities, but (as a lot of games lately) I think there was a bit of luck involved, but someone had to be in front at the end of the game.
