Yet several AFL clubs want him.

Why didn't they draft him then?

As has been explained, he's waiting to see if an AFL club takes him, then if he doesn't go, we'll take him.

Thats a shame for Centrals but obviously excellent for Richards. I'm sure we have other options for that role. Depending on tomorrow's rookie draft aren't we after an ex-afl player.

The Dogs lost Rhett Montgomerie to Essendon in the pre-season draft. A huge blow for their defensive stocks.

We have Jack Carpenter who i rate quite highly as a key back. Really good size and great skill level by foot. One of our new recruits Splann can play key back. Got a feeling Brodie Tuck and George Kendall might have to play down back a bit.

Am also a fan of Jack C.
Brodie might be a while off league, but can take a decent contested grab.

We look to have a pretty good middle & forward structure now, maybe we'll win by attacking & outscoring the opposition!

Will Splann will be extremely handy down back.
Our newest recruit, Raven, could also be useful down back ;)
