I find it interesting that this is allowed (and by the way I think it should be, so have no problem with it) however there is the hypocrisy of not allowing any amateur club to do the same thing. In fact they threaten "Integrity Units" to check it's not happening.

Yes they can, I was speaking about the underlying intent of have a player employed who doesn't really do much for their employment contract. Amateur clubs are also required to submit to the integrity unit a detailed "formal contract" if they employ any of their players to perform works for the club, eg: a player/plumber renovates the clubs bathrooms.
