Hopeful for all 3 Norwood lads to come back but wouldn’t be surprised if one ends up in the ammo’s

Does that include Aish?

Trapp was Reserves coach and football manager at Sturt, and was basically Mattner's right hand man during a period when Sturt ran a highly regarded football program across the grades.

Combined roles at both an AFL club and SANFL HQ for the gentleman mentioned above.

So Chris Trapp will take the mantle as the Adelaide Crows boys Academy Coach and Mark Clayton will have a homecoming in the same role at Port.

Also heard today, from a pretty reliable source, that Tony Bamford has been told he is no longer required at the SANFL as Talent Manager.

His services as the reigning U18 National Championship winning coach will not be utilised, either.

This is disappointing for Banger, if true, but I am sure he will land somewhere else in footy.

Don’t blame you.
I’m also walking away from the club.
There is no future.
They rarely get ex players back to play for the club.
7 spoons from the past 10 seasons is enough for me.
I’ll keep my $240 in my pocket next year.

Aish is the one I think will end up in the ammos. Club is still working hard on him though I’ve heard

Norwood have lost a few though.

Ethan Warburton (Victoria), Jacob Newton (AFL – West Coast), Connor McLean (Retired), Will Rowlands (NT), Jack Saunders, George McLeod, Dom White, Damon Pitt, Dom Parisi, Josh Bradford, Angus Liebich, Anthony Mustaca, RJ Watson, Henry Slade, Khalen Matthews, Liam Robinson.

Thought I saw they've also lost Twelftree to a job opportunity in Sydney.

Not their best player but some who had to have a lot of work put into them defensively because he was always good for 2-3 goals if you gave him an inch.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Their reserves might be tested. I don't think any of the above played the last game of the season.

Nort surprised re: Bamford. He got lucky in his first year in 2018, and again this year. Very little done by way of developing players in the years between, smart move by the SANFL.

I know Banger's has already started work with the 2026 u18 squad, so if above is true it must have been a very recent call.

Yeah, majority of those are B graders.
Boyd, Dittmar and Francis easily have the departed covered.
If we can jag Aish that would be huge plus add a couple of Norwood juniors returning that have AFL experience that would be a decent off season

None of these were in Norwoods best 22.
Mostly B graders as Jim05 mentioned or injury prone.
Comparing to my club Centrals at the moment.....Norwood have improved
their best 22 and would be tipped to finish top 2.
Centrals have lost 5/6 from best 22 ,Fahey and McCarty probably in our
best 22.
At this stage dogs side is weaker and will be battling to finish top 5.
I feel for West as it sucks when former players go elsewhere. We've had a few who have
returned then moved to another club a year or two later.

No future? U18s just played off in a GF. Quite a few players from that squad move into a senior program.
U16s won a flag with kids still eligible to play U14 in that premiership winning side. A large portion of that side will now make up this year's U18 squad.
Mitch Marsh about to get drafted and a couple of other kids who have had calls from AFL clubs...
Your negativity towards your own clubs stinks!

I understand why players are looking at other clubs rather than West, but a quality coach was announced and still can’t get them back.

Football department needs a kick in the ass IMO.

They retired 15 years ago. Probably not the result of current list management decisions.
By all reports Bonner was heading back before St Kilda gave him a lifeline. He then got a job with Melbourne's NGA program and a VFL list spot with Casey. Not sure Westies could offer anything like that.
