2026 Hostplus SANFLW League Fixture Released

The milestone 10th year of the Hostplus SANFL Women’s League in 2026 will see some major changes, including a later start to the season, to get underway on Saturday, April 19 – the week after AFL Gather Round.

In an exciting first, the SANFLW competition will also feature a series of showcase rounds, in which one venue will host multiple SANFLW games on that day, creating a festival-like atmosphere.

SANFL Competitions Lead Daniel Joyce said the introduction of the showcase round reflects SANFL’s commitment to continually evolve the SANFLW competition.

“This initiative is part of our broader strategy to continue strengthening women’s football in South Australia,” Joyce said.

“The showcase rounds will help us build momentum, grow audiences, and ensure the SANFLW remains one of the leading women’s state league competitions in the country.”

While the season kicks off later, the first taste of SANFLW action in 2026 will begin with the highly anticipated state clash with the VFLW on Saturday, 11 April over AFL Gather Round in a double header with the men’s state game.

SA will also once again head to Perth to take on the WAFLW on Saturday, May 16, with the SANFLW state team holding a 2-0 record over the Sandgropers.

New senior coaches will debut at Central District, Norwood, Sturt and West Adelaide in Round 1 to kick off the 2026 season, with a host of new, and seasoned players alike, set to make their debuts across all eight clubs.

Two games will be played at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval in Round One, with Central District taking on North Adelaide from 12pm, and 2025 minor premiers Woodville-West Torrens hosting Sturt at 2:15pm.

South Adelaide will host the Redlegs in an exciting twilight Round 1 clash at Magain Stadium, as West Adelaide also head down south to tackle Glenelg at 2:15pm, with both teams looking to return to the major round after disappointing 2025 campaigns.

All eyes will be on North Adelaide v Norwood at Revo Fitness Oval in Round 2, with former Norwood captain Sophie Armitstead coming up against her old side in the red and white.

Each club will get the opportunity to have a taste of Anzac Day footy, with Sturt and Norwood also doing battle on the King’s Birthday Holiday Monday at 9.20am at Thomas Farms Oval as a curtain raiser to the men’s game later that day.

South Adelaide will hit the road in Round 4, playing a standalone clash against Sturt at the Strathalbyn Oval on the weekend of Saturday, May 9, in the Panthers’ regional zone.

Fans will have to wait until Round 6 for the anticipated grand final rematch, with South Adelaide tackling Woodville-West Torrens at Thomas Farms Oval, as part of the second showcase round.

A three-week finals campaign will begin on the weekend of Saturday, August 15, culminating in the Hostplus SANFLW League Grand Final on the weekend of Saturday, August 29, at a venue to be confirmed.

Round 1 AAMI Talent League Girls Teams Match Wraps


West Adelaide 5.2 (32) d Sturt 1.1 (7)
West Adelaide got its inaugural AAMI Talent League Girls campaign off to a strong start with a convincing 25-point victory over Sturt at Richmond Oval.

The Bloods kicked three unanswered goals in the first quarter courtesy of Ava Barton, Georgia Saunders and Scarlett Blethyn, before Sturt centre-half forward Jessie Roser found the scoreboard in the second term.

Blethyn again proved to be a scoring option for Westies, slotting her second in the third quarter, with Emma Robinson capping off a dominant day for the Bloods in the final term with her first major, and the final for the day.

Westies co-captain Bella Walden amassed a staggering 15 tackles, whilst Angela Rose was prolific in the ruck with 28 hit outs as her side recorded a whopping 61 hit outs to Sturt’s 14.

Double Blues captain Emily Duthy was relentless with her pressure, recording 14 tackles to go along with her 19 disposals and six clearances, with Aaliyah Fox (15 disposals, 10 tackles, five clearances) and Zina Hunt (17 disposals, 10 tackles) were both solid for the visiting side.

Next up, Sturt will head to Magain Stadium to take on Glenelg, with West Adelaide also making the trip down south to tackle Norwood.


Central District 9.13 (67) d Glenelg 0.0 (0)
Central District earned an emphatic 67-point win against a scoreless Glenelg at X Convenience Oval.

Goals to Aoife Berry and Charlotte Maurits got things underway for the Dogs in the first quarter, with no majors recorded in the second quarter in wet and windy conditions at the Ponderosa.

Central forward Annelise Lovell broke the goal drought early in the third term, as Demi Holloway followed suit with her first major of the day to extend the lead for the home side.

It was raining goals in the final quarter with Jyearah Newchurch, Miyu Endersby, Isabelle Zander and Holloway combining for five majors, leaving Glenelg scoreless in both sides’ first official hit out in the new AAMI Talent League Girls competition.

Maurits (25 disposals, nine tackles, five clearances), Holloway (25 disposals, eight tackles, five inside 50s) and Izabella Nisbet (22 disposals, five tackles, five inside 50s) were all prolific for Central.

Glenelg captain Maya Vonarx was strong for her side with 15 disposal and five tackles, with Mundulla Football Club product Tori Evans (15 disposals, four tackles) also solid.

Both sides will head to Magain Stadium this Saturday, with the Bays taking on Sturt and Central coming up against South Adelaide.


Norwood 6.8 (44) d Woodville-West Torrens 5.8 (38)
Norwood recorded a six-point come-from-behind win against the Eagles at The Parade to get its AAMI Talent League Girls season off to a flying start.

Eagles’ key forward Kayla Ilett kicked the first major of the game, with Norwood quickly following suit as Della McCracken slotted her first, before Sailor Cowen got another one on the board for the visitors, who took a slight lead into quarter time.

Back-to-back goals for the Redlegs in the second quarter, thanks to Chelsea Marshall and Della McCracken, gave the home side a seven-point lead at the main break.

Annabelle Shirley, Felicity Ward and Asha Gooley combined for three unanswered goals in the third team to take the lead back before Norwood’s Taylah Pearson reduced the deficit back to one goal at three quarter-time.

Pearson hit the scoreboard again to bring scores level in the fifth minute of the final term, with Ella Anderson putting the Redlegs in front to seal the game for her side.

Norwood young gun Mia Wood (19 disposals), Cara Tricker (25 hit outs) and captain Molly Sennar (nine tackles) were among the Redlegs’ best, with Eagle Lucy Farnsworth excellent for the visitors with 19 disposals, 26 hit outs, six tackles and six clearances,. She was well supported by Ward (17 disposals, five tackles, five inside 50s) and Gooley (seven tackles, one goal).

Woodville-West Torrens will come up against North Adelaide at Magain Stadium this Saturday, with Norwood also heading south to take on West Adelaide.


South Adelaide 7.11 (53) d North Adelaide 0.5 (5)
South Adelaide is off to a flying start in the inaugural AAMI Talent League Girls season, recording a 48-point victory against North Adelaide at Magain Stadium.

Taryn Vizgaudis – the younger sister of SANFLW premiership player Layla Vizgaudis – got things underway for the Panthers as they looked to emulate the success they have had in the Hostplus SANFLW League.

Skye Childs found the goals in the second term for the Panthers, before crafty midfielder Jaidee-Lee Shortridge kicked the first of her three majors in the third quarter.

It was all South in the fourth term, as they kicked four unanswered majors courtesy of Shortridge (two goals) and Molly Jenkins (two goals).

Madison Brown was excellent for the Panthers with 23 disposals, 11 tackles and eight clearances with Zoe Flesfadar (21 disposals, seven tackles, six inside 50s) and Shortridge (17 disposals, three goals) among South’s best.

Bridie Lukich (20 disposals, five tackles), Neve Horvat (10 tackles, seven clearances) and Keira Copeland (five marks, six tackles) were all solid for North.

South Adelaide now look to its clash with Central District at Magain Stadium, as North Adelaide return south to take on Woodville-West Torrens.

Round 2 AAMI Talent League Girls Match Wraps


Norwood 4.12 (36) d West Adelaide 2.4 (16)
Norwood secured its second win of the inaugural AAMI Talent League Girls competition with a 20-point victory over West Adelaide at Magain Stadium.

The Redlegs got off to a strong start via Broken Hill product Emmerson Lihou, who kicked the first major of the game late in the first term to put her side seven points up at quarter time.

Montana Marranya continued the Redlegs’ strong start, before Hayley Mules slotted the first for West shortly after to get her team on the board before half-time.

After a plethora of points scored for Norwood, SA U18 Girls Academy member Mia Wood kicked the Redlegs’ third for the afternoon to take a 19-point advantage into the final term.

Norwood’s Chelsea Marshall slotted her first major of the day to cement her team’s second win of the season, with West’s Brooklyn Muller finding the goals shortly after.

Wood continued her excellent form with 19 disposals, five tackles and six inside 50s, with Amelia Kelly (25 disposals, four clearances, five inside 50s) and midfielder Ella Anderson (23 disposals, seven clearances) also putting on a show for Norwood.

Sienna Aldridge was excellent for the Bloods with 16 disposals and five marks and was well supported by Scarlett Kay (eight tackles) and Zara Downes (13 disposals, five tackles).

Next up West Adelaide will host Woodville-West Torrens this Sunday, with Norwood also heading to Richmond Oval to tackle Central District.


South Adelaide 2.2 (14) lost to Central District 8.17 (65)
Central District sent a warning to its rivals with a 51-point win over South Adelaide at Magain Stadium.

Panthers’ Jaidee-Lee Shortridge continued her goal-kicking ways, slotting the first major for the day, with Central’s Annelise Lovell and Indianna Nelson finding the goals to give the visiting side a nine-point lead heading into the first break.

Doggies livewire Charlotte Maurits and centre-half-forward Lovell combined for two goals before South’s Isabelle Cameron kicked her sides last goal of the day in the second quarter.

From the fifth minute of the third quarter, it was all red, white and blue at Magain, as Lovell kicked her second, with Jyearah Newchurch and Cassie Wasley following suit, with Central taking a 38-point lead at three-quarter-time.

Doggies midfielder Aoife Berry kicked the only major in the final term, with her team experiencing some wayward kicking, registering seven behinds.

Maurits had a field day against the Panthers, notching up 26 disposals, five marks, four tackles and four clearances, with Miyu Endersby (34 hit outs, six inside 50s) and Izabella Nisbet (22 disposals, four tackles, four clearances) some of the clear standouts in a strong Central side.

Panthers’ forward Demi Lee-Braun put the pressure on with 15 disposals and eight tackles, as Madison Brown (16 disposals, eight tackles, six clearances, four inside 50s) and Taryn Vizgaudis (eight tackles) also solid for South.

Next up, Central will face the only other undefeated side in Norwood at Richmond Oval this Sunday afternoon, with South also heading to Richmond Oval to take on Sturt.


Glenelg 0.2 (2) lost to Sturt 10.2 (62)
Sturt thumped Glenelg by 60 points to claim its first win of the AAMI Talent League Girls at Magain Stadium.

It was all the Double Blues down south on Saturday morning, with the victors registering 27 inside 50s to Glenelg’s nine.

Zina Hunt, Miller Thompson and Madeline Nuss all found the goals for Sturt in the first quarter, as Edwina Thornquest and Alicia Gevers continued the onslaught of goals in the second term.

In positive signs for Glenelg, they recorded a whopping 68 hit outs to Sturt’s 19, however that failed to translate into clearances with Sturt racking up 34 to Glenelg’s 19.

The pain continued for the Tigers in the second half as Elka Jasko, Thompson and Thornquest combined for three goals as Sturt headed into the final quarter with a 49-point lead.

Thompson slotted her third for the day early in the final term, which was quickly followed with a goal from Glenunga Rams product Erin Conn.

Double Blues captain Emily Duthy recorded a whopping 14 tackles in her side’s demolition and was well supported by Aaliyah Fox (22 disposals, nine tackles, four clearances), Layla May (five marks, eight tackles) and Saskia Kellaway (16 disposals, 12 tackles, five clearances).

Glenelg ruck Chante Waters had a field day with a staggering 51 hit outs, with Grace Woodcock (11 tackles) and Ruby Rose (10 disposals, 10 tackles) both applying the pressure in a difficult day for the Tigers.

The Double Blues now look to their clash against South at Richmond Oval this Sunday, as the Tigers search for their first win against North at the same venue.


Woodville-West Torrens 6.3 (39) d North Adelaide 5.3 (33)
Woodville-West Torrens secured its first win of the season with a one-goal victory over North Adelaide at Magain Stadium.

North half-forward Ella Demertzis found a goal early in the first quarter, but it wasn’t long before Eagles’ Kayla Ilett slotted her side’s first for the day to take a one-point lead into quarter time.

A strong second quarter from the Eagles saw Ruby Matthews (one goal) and captain Mia Smith (two goals) get a slight break on the Roosters, which was emulated in the third term by North as Marcy Philpott, co-captain Lucy Reddaway and Brooklyn Taylor all registering one major to bring the margin back to two-points heading into the final quarter.

After a couple of behinds for the Roosters, Asha Gooley extended the lead for Woodville-West Torrens back out to six points, but Waikerie Magpies product Asha Lehmann was quick to get one back, with scores level at the 12-minute mark.

Molly Burke proved to be the hero for the Eagles with a last-gasp goal to secure her team the win, as North Adelaide still searches for its maiden win in the newly-minted AAMI Talent League Girls competition.

Woodville-West Torrens ruck Lucy Farnsworth put on a clinic with 24 hit outs, 11 tackles, six clearances and three inside 50s, and was well supported by Matthews (19 disposals, eight tackles), Smith (14 disposals, two goals) and Anika Tran (14 disposals, seven inside 50s).

Nevaeh Ebert – sister of Melbourne AFLW player Laela Ebert – notched up nine tackles along with her 16 disposals, with Imogen Cunningham (19 disposals, five tackles) and Reddaway (13 disposals, seven tackles, five inside 50s) all esolid contributors in a disappointing loss for North.

The Eagles will take on West Adelaide at Richmond Oval this Sunday morning, whilst North will face Glenelg at Richmond Oval.

Round 3 AAMI Talent League Girls Match Wraps


Glenelg 3.8 (26) d North Adelaide 2.3 (15)
Glenelg secured its first win of the AAMI Talent League Girls competition, defeating North Adelaide by 11 points at Richmond Oval.

Both sides went into the match winless, and it was Bays half-forward Sophie Thomas who stole the show, kicking all of the Tigers’ goals to give her side its first win of the season.

Kicking her first goal late in the first term – the Tigers’ first for the season – Thomas gave Glenelg a handy eight-point lead heading into the second quarter.

It was a stagnant second quarter for both teams, with no majors recorded for either side as the Tigers went into the main break nine points up.

North co-captain Lucy Reddaway slotted the Roosters’ first for the day in the third term, but Thomas quickly followed up with back-to-back goals to extend Glenelg’s lead out to 17 points at the penultimate break.

Roosters’ forward Macy Philpott found the goals early in the final term to bring the margin back to 11 points, but the damage was already done thanks to Thomas’ three-goal haul and an inside 50 thumping for the Roosters, which saw Glenelg record 43 inside 50s, to North’s seven.

Woodville-West Torrens made it back-to-back wins with a 38-point win over West Adelaide at Richmond Oval.

The Eagles put the jets on early in the game with three unanswered goals in the first term from Annabelle Shirley, Kayla Ilett and Asha Gooley, taking a strong 22-point lead into the first break.

It was all Woodville-West Torrens in the second quarter too, as Zali Pitman and captain Mia Smith extended the lead to 35 points, with West failing to kick a major in the first half.

Westies’ ruck Angela Rose broke through for her side’s first goal late in the third quarter, with Lily Nelson slotting the second for West early in the fourth term to reduce the margin back to 22 points.

Aaliyah Fisher and Sailor Cowen kicked back-to-back majors late in the final quarter to solidify the Eagles’ second win of the season.

Henley Sharks product Tahlia Morton was a rock down back for the Eagles, amassing 10 tackles, and was well supported by Anika Tram (21 disposals, six inside 50s), Poppy Grygorcewicz (eight tackles) and Felicity Ward (six tackles, five clearances).

Westies’ co-captain Anabella Walden was excellent for her side with 18 disposals and eight tackles, with Riverland export Molly Petersen (17 disposals, five tackles, five clearances, four inside 50s), Scarlett Blethyn (four marks, four tackles) and Mary Rose Bahls Kildea (five marks) all strong for the Bloods in a disappointing loss.

Central District sent a message to the AAMI Talent League Girls competition with a decisive 39-point victory over Norwood at Richmond Oval.

The Doggies got off to a strong start with goals to Tara Lord and Izabella Nisbet, before Redlegs’ forward Lillian Thomas kicked truly late in the first quarter, with Norwood trailing by seven points at quarter time.

Central put its foot down in the second term, kicking four unanswered goals courtsey of Isabella Zander, Lord, Sydney Pocock and GWS Academy product Aoife Berry, as the ladder-leaders took a strong 32-point lead into the main break.

2026 SA U16 Girls squad member Annaelise Lovell nabbed her first major early in the third term – Central’s seventh of the game – with Norwood’s Montana Marranya following up shortly after, before Charlotte Maurits capitalised on her side’s 36 inside 50s with her first major of the game.

Doggies’ midfielder Demi Holloway continued her hot form, kicking Central’s ninth goal early in the fourth quarter, and was backed up by Maurits who kicked her second shortly after.

Norwood’s Lia So kicked back-to-back goals to round out the fourth quarter, but the damage was already done, as Central remain undefeated.

Maurits was a standout for the Dogs with 25 disposals, five tackles, four clearances and five inside 50s, with fellow young-guns Holloway (20 disposals, seven tackles, six clearances), Nisbet (19 disposals, four tackles, six inside 50s) and ruck Indianna Nelson (26 hit outs, six tackles) all excellent in their side’s win.

Norwood’s Ella Anderson was prolific with 26 disposals, four tackles and seven clearances, as Skyla James (10 tackles), Mia Wood (18 disposals, five tackles) and Kirralee Johns (six tackles) all strong in Norwood’s defeat.

The Redlegs will now look to their clash against the winless North Adelaide at X Convenience Oval on Saturday, with Central District hosting Sturt later that day.

South Adelaide is back on the winners list after a 15-point win over Sturt at Richmond Oval.

Zoe Flesfadar got things underway for the Panthers with her side’s first major, and was backed up by Halle James, with South taking a 16-point lead into the first break, as the Double Blues went scoreless.

Sturt found themselves on the board in the second term, with goals to Rosie Bentley and Jessie Rosser reducing the margin back to two points at the main break.

Panthers’ livewire Jaidee-Lee Shortridge found the goals midway through the third quarter to extend her sides lead out to eight points, with Hope Taylor following suit to give South some breathing space heading into the final quarter.

It was a topsy-turvy final term with Rosser kicking Sturt’s third major, before Madison Brown got one back for South. It was then back to the Double Blues, as Miller Thompson slotted one for her side, however it was Panthers’ forward Molly Jenkins who sealed the game for South a late goal in the final term.

Brown put on a masterclass for the Panthers, amassing 25 disposals, a whopping 12 tackles, four clearances and four inside 50s in her sides win.

She was well supported by Alex Harvey (12 tackles), Flesfadar (15 disposals, five marks) and Lily Dunstall-Bruce (18 disposals, six tackles), with the Panthers now sitting third on the ladder heading into Round 4.

Saskia Kellaway – sister of Sturt’s Louis and daughter of Richmond great Duncan – was a standout for the Double Blues with 18 disposals, five tackles and four clearances, with Elka Jasko (six rebound 50s), Isabel Smart (five inside 50s) and Alicia Gevers (eight tackles) all solid in Sturt’s loss.

Central District 2.2 (14) lost to Sturt 9.5 (59)
Sturt claimed an empathic 59-point win over Central District at X Convenience Oval in Round 4 of the AAMI Talent League Girls competition.

It was all Double Blue in the first half at The Ponderosa, as the visiting side kicked four unanswered goals courtesy of Madeline Nuss – kicking two of her five goals – Alicia Gevers and Winnie Thornquest, as their team capitalised on its 34 to 17 inside 50 count.

Taking a 25-point lead into the third quarter, Sturt got the jump on Central again, as Thornquest and Nuss combined for three goals, before the Doggies’ Lily Steen stood up late in the term to slot her side’s first of the day.

Thornquest and Nuss again found the goals in the final quarter – Thornquest kicking her third and Nuss kicking her fifth – as Central’s captain Alana Evans relieved some of the scoring damage late in the quarter with her side’s second.

Sturt’s Saskia Kellaway continued her strong form with 19 disposals, four marks, and five clearances, along with Thornquest (four tackles, six inside 50s), Layla May (eight tackles) and Zina Hunt (five tackles, seven clearances).

NSW import Aoife Berry had another excellent showing for Central’s, notching up 23 disposals, seven tackles, and five clearances, as Jyearah Newchurch (eight tackles) and Steen (four marks, six tackles) all battled hard in a tough day for the ladder leaders.

Norwood claimed a resounding 41-point win over North Adelaide at X Convenience Oval.

Goals from Lilian Thomas and Kailee-Colbung-Ware got things underway for the Redlegs on Saturday morning as they looked to bounce back after a hefty loss to Central District the week before.

It was a stagnant second quarter for both sides, with no majors recorded for either team as Norwood went into the main break 13 points up.

Thomas broke through early in the third term for her second goal, before South Augusta product Brooklyn Taylor nailed North’s first goal to bring the margin down to 11 points heading into the final quarter.

However, it was all Norwood in the final term, with Della McCracken (two goals), Emmerson Lihou and Kailee Colbung-Ware (one goal) kicking four unanswered goals to claim victory.

Redlegs’ Ella Anderson and Mia Wood both continued their stunning form, both recording 28 disposals, five marks and five clearances, as Colbung-Ware (27 disposals, five marks, eight tackles) and Summer Scardingo (20 disposals, six marks) both showed their prowess.

Ava Mooney (18 disposals, six marks, seven tackles) battled hard for the Roosters, as did Isabella Beaumont (19 disposals, five marks), Keira Copeland (23 hit outs) and Chloe Spanagel (18 disposals, nine rebound 50s).

Glenelg continued its winning ways with an 11-point victory over Woodville-West Torrens at X Convenience Oval.

Marion product Rosie Munn kicked the first, getting the Tigers off to a hot start, before forward Hannah Bellinger found the goals to give Glenelg a 14-point lead heading into the first break.

Glenelg’s Sophie Thomas found the goals early in the second term, as the Eagles struggled to get on the board, going goalless in the first half for the first time this season.

Munn added a second goal to her tally in the third term, before Eagles’ midfielder Tahlia Morton finally got her side on the board, slightly relieving some of the pressure as the Tiges headed into the final term 22 points up.

The Eagles found some momentum in the final quarter, kicking back-to-back goals from Zali Pitman and Felicity Ward to bring the margin back down to 10 points, with Tigers young gun Tori Evans getting one back to give her side some breathing room, before Sailor Cowen capitalised on the Eagles’ last quarter burst with a major to bring the margin back to 11 points at the final siren.

Evans (18 disposals, eight marks), Ada-Mae Koch (19 disposals, five tackles), Grace Altschwager (seven tackles) and captain Maya Vonarx (17 disposals, eight clearances) were among some of the standouts for the Bays as they notched up their second win of the season.

Eagles ruck Lucy Farnsworth was dominant around the ground, tallying 13 disposals, seven tackles, 22 hit outs and four clearances, and was well supported by Molly Burke (15 disposals, six tackles, six clearances), Mayah Edwards (16 disposals, six tackles) and Morton (nine tackles).

South Adelaide made it back-to-back wins with a 35-point win over West Adelaide at X Convenience Oval.

The Panthers dominated the first half, as Jaidee-Lee Shortridge, Chanel May, and Taryn Vizgaudis combined for three goals, with West struggling to get the ball into its forward 50.

Shortridge capitalised on South’s 36 to 10 inside 50 count, kicking back-to-back goals in the third term, as Georgia Saunders gave the Bloods the goal they desperately needed before three quarter-time.

Eve Disley found the goals in the final quarter for the Panthers, with West’s Tayla Wilkinson responding quickly with the Bloods’ second major, before Isabelle Cameron capped off a dominant display for South with a late goal.

South’s Madison Brown notched up a staggering 36 disposals, 10 tackles and seven clearances, as Taryn Vizgaudis (32 disposals), Shortridge (five tackles, seven clearances) and Emmerson Warren (22 disposals, six tackles, five inside 50s) all put on a show for the Panthers.

Norwood overcame a slow start to defeat Sturt by 21 points in Round 5 of the AAMI Talent League Girls competition at Richmond Oval.

Wayward kicking cost the Redlegs in the first quarter, with Sturt’s Isobelle Purdie finding the goals to give the Double Blues a slight four-point lead at quarter time.

Kaianne Colbung-Ware slotted Norwood’s first major early in the second quarter, before Aaliyah Fox responded quickly, kicking Sturt’s second, and final goal of the afternoon.

It was all Norwood in the second-half, with Chelsea Marshall kicking two goals, along with goals to Della McCracken and Lailanie Rioli – with the Redlegs now sitting second on the ladder with three rounds to go.

Norwood’s Mia Wood produced another excellent showing with 27 disposals, 11 tackles and seven clearances, along with Colbung-Ware (23 disposals, seven clearances, five inside 50s), captain Molly Sennar (18 disposals, six tackles) and Amelia Kelly (five marks).

Mia Duthy (21 disposals, nine tackles, six clearances) displayed great pressure for the Double Blues, and was well supported by captain, and sister Emily Duthy (18 disposals, nine tackles) and Saskia Kellaway (eight tackles).

West Adelaide defeated a valiant North Adelaide outfit by three points at Richmond Oval.

Still searching for their first win, the Roosters got off to a positive start with Brooklyn Taylor kicking their first, as West went goalless in the opening term.

Madison Nelson got her side on the board in the second quarter, the two teams heading into the main break with scores level.

North came out firing in the second half, as Broadview product Charlotte Beard put the Roosters back in front, however the lead was short lived as Nelson kicked her second and both teams went into the final quarter with scores level again.

After three missed shots on goal for the Roosters, it was West’s Scarlett Blethyn who proved to be the hero, kicking the winning goal in the dying minutes of the final term, as North remain winless.

Zara Downes was excellent for the victors with 25 disposals, five tackles and nine clearances. She was well supported by Mary Rose Bahls Kildea (20 disposals, six marks) and Annabella Walden (10 tackles).

Iris Newman led the way for the Roosters with 20 disposals and five clearances, with Hayley Fielke (10 tackles) and Keira Copeland (28 hit outs, six clearances) also solid.

South Adelaide cruised to a 23-point victory over Glenelg on the back of a four-goal final quarter from Molly Jenkins at Magain Stadium.

Hannah Bellinger got the visitors off to a quick start, but back-to-back South goals from Lily Jenke and Halle Crowe gave the Panthers a five-point lead at quarter time.

It was a stagnant second quarter, as neither side found the goals, and it took until the 13th minute in the third term for the next major, as South’s Ellie Jones broke the goal drought, the Panthers heading into the final term 11 points up.

Enter Molly Jenkins.

The McLaren Districts product got off to a firing start in the final term, kicking the first of her four goals early, before Glenelg’s Sienna Parry got one back for the Tigers.

Jenkins then kicked three unanswered goals for the Panthers before Bellinger kicked her second – South now sitting first on the ladder heading into Round 6.

Madison Brown was up to her usual tricks for South, notching up 24 disposals, eight tackles and eight clearances, with Lily Dunstall-Bruce (20 disposals, seven tackles, five inside 50s), Alexia Harvey (15 tackles) and Eva Aldridge (29 hit outs, six tackles) all excellent in a pivotal win for the Panthers.

Glenelg captain Maya Vonarx was everywhere with 19 disposals, eight tackles and nine clearances, as Ruby Rose (20 disposals, six tackles) and Lily Jinks (12 disposals, three marks) both solid in a tough loss for the Tigers.

Both teams were missing a handful of stars due to SANFLW trial games, but it was the Eagles who prevailed at The Ponderosa.

Kayla Ilett and Mia Smith kicked back-to-back goals for the visitors, with Doggies’ small forward Jyearah Newchurch getting her side on the board late in the first term.

Central’s Annelise Lovell kicked the only goal of the second term, with scores locked heading into the main break.

Chloe Datson put the home side in front early in the third term, as Sophie Bevis quickly followed suit, but it was short-lived as goals to Asha Gooley and Ilett gave the Eagles a one-point lead heading into the final quarter.

Majors kicked by Mayah Edwards and Tahlia Morton in the final quarter gave the Eagles the jump they needed to get over the Doggies, who now sit in third place – the Eagles just behind them in fourth.

Gooley (19 disposals, six marks,) Ilett (16 disposals, three tackles), Anika Tran (18 disposals, six tackles, five clearances) and Ava Shreeve (six tackles) were all excellent for the Eagles as they jumped into the top four.

Woodville-West Torrens defeated South Adelaide by 10 points in Round 6 of the AAMI Talent League Girls at Magain Stadium.

The Panthers got off to aquick start, with Taryn Vizgaudis kicking the only goal in the first half, the Eagles struggling to capitalise on their 31 to 19 inside 50 count.

The second half saw the Eagles finally kick into gear, as Kayla Ilett slotted her side’s first major early in the third term, the visitors trailing by one point heading into the last quarter.

Back-to-back fourth quarter goals from Annabelle Shriely and Abbi Rankine gave the Eagles a solid 10-point win heading into the final round of the inaugural AAMI Talent League Girls season.

Ruby Matthews was a standout for the Eagles with 24 disposals, eight tackles, and five inside 50s, with Rankine (13 tackles), and Tahlia Morton (18 disposals, 12 tackles) displaying excellent pressure around the ground.

The Redlegs got off to the perfect start, kicking three unanswered goals in the first term from Amelia Pertini, Lillian Thomas and Kailee Colbung-Ware, giving the visitors a 19-point lead at the first break.

Henley Sharks product Lana Bruce got Glenelg on the board in the second quarter, with the only other goal for the term coming via Norwood’s Kyah Jaffer.

Bruce slotted her second early in the third term, however Norwood responded shortly after as first gamer Montana Marranya kicked truly to help give the Redlegs a comfortable 21-point lead at the penultimate break.

The Redlegs capitalised on their almost double inside 50 count (37 to 19) in the last quarter with goals to Taylah Person, Emmerson Lihou and Kailee Colbung-Ware, with the Tigers’ only major coming from Rosie Munn as the visitors ran out comfortable winners.

Sturt secured its third victory of the season with a 27-point win over North Adelaide at Revo Fitness Oval.

It was all the Double Blues in the first quarter at Prospect, as Isobelle Purdie capitalised on Sturt’s 36 to 14 inside 50 count with back-to-back goals to give her side a 15-point lead at quarter time.

Neve Horvat got the Roosters on the board in the second quarter, with Sturt responding quickly via Winnie Thornquest, before Walkerville-product Amity Elliott slotted her first goal in her debut game.

The third quarter saw Sturt kick three unanswered goals from Thornquest, Miller Thompson and Alicia Gevers, the visitors heading into the three-quarter time break 29 points up.

Thompson kicked her second for Sturt early in the final quarter, with North’s Keria Copeland slotting the final major of the day, leaving the Roosters still hunting for their first win of the season with one round to go.

The Bloods got off on the right foot with a goal from Angela Rose late in the first quarter, however the lead was short lived as Cassie Wasley and Madison Meek combined for two goals in the second quarter to give the Doggies a seven-point lead at the main break.

The third quarter saw Central kick three unanswered goals from Isabella Riggs, Tara Lord, and Meek, as the Doggies looked to solidify their spot in the top two.

However, the game wasn’t over yet, with Westies seemingly mounting a comeback in the fourth quarter with goals from Mercy Walsh, Madisan Nelson, and Lily Nelson, but it was Lord who steadied the ship for Central late in the last term with her second major.

Tarly Borgas had a breakout game for the Doggies with 23 disposals, four marks, eight tackles, and five inside 50s, as Sophie Bevis (24 disposals, 11 clearances, six tackles), and Indianna Nelson (18 disposals, 25 hit outs) were among some of the best for the visitors.
