My club was the best because we had the best disco. (Yes, the Bay Disco was good, but it was too far away, and not as good as Sam's, where many a young college girl could be plied from the pack).
We also had Brian, and his huge Norwood flag, sprinting across to each 3/4 time address and stopping to give the umps a gobful along the way.
We also had that fantastic enormous fence banner 'Norwood, Pride of the Parade', that ran about halfway around the ground.
I'm starting to get emotional now, and have to stop typing.

I too was getting emotional and am glad you have stopped ... Oh for a return to the good ol' days.

I'm sure I've said this somewhere else on another thread on this site. Alan Stringer gave someone (Brett Hannam?!?!?!?) a very cheap one and a Centrals guy started chasing Stringer for the square up, and Carey threw an arm to stop him and missed by miles. He got reported and got two weeks. Amazing. Eventually got us a flag from fifth spot. Cost Graham Campbell his job, got Graham Cornes back to Glenelg and two flags and on to Crows job etc. Changed so much in SA footy history.

Just think, we could be turning on the radio at 4pm every time and listening to KG and Campbo -- dual SANFL premiership coach and inaugural Crows coach

My allegiance is 1st and foremost to Norwood. Been to as many Geelong games as i can, including 89,92,94,95 and 2007 GFs. Whenever they play at AAMI i'm there if it dont clash with the legs, and go to Kardinia 3- 4 times per year.

Yes, I think it is time we started sharing premierships around with the 'lesser' clubs like North Adelaide.
