No idea if its true or not.

Ben Cousins wants to play for free in the SANFL next year- will play rounds 8-16 to play every club once. Rehab at start of season so wont start to round 8. At end of season will resume rehab and ensure he is injury free for an AFL bid again in 2009. (Play for free = no salary cap issues for said club).

Hooray! He's coming to North! :D

Not my club thanks! 8 rounds, in the middle of the season would be just the right amount of time for the team to begin relying on him and becoming used to him being there.

Then about 6 weeks before finals he disappears. Sounds like a recipe for disaster on the field.

Could be the difference between finishing in or out of the five / getting a double chance or even finishing first.

Ive looked at our draw and Sturt have the following games this year - Port ( 8 ) Bye ( 9 ) North ( 10 ) Norwood ( 11 ) Eagles ( 12 ) Glenelg ( 13 ) Bye ( 14 ) South ( 15 ) West ( 16 )

so if there is a cryptic clue in there it wont be us !!!
It is what it is !!!

North are the only club not to have a bye in that block of games.

Might as well, they'd have more chance of a premiership than North if that happened.
Don't think it will be an issue though Punky.
North would be far too professional to agree to anything like that.
