All have played at least one league game, and all could possibly be in the League side at the moment.

I think your correct Aerie plus Jarrad and Salter are lucky to be still in that line up after last weeks performances!!
Well done to Broadbent and Daveron for their first games .
I hope WWT don't drop Roberts and use DABROWSKI with Groecke like they did at Norwood in the past when lindsey was still playing. As norwood is a small ground .

Funny you should say that about Jarrad, because I gave him 1 vote in a 5-4-3-2-1 system.

Another point, I liked the look of Lane on the weekend, a small livewire forward in the mould of Stokes. (Not saying he is in the Stokes class, just that he is similar)

Broadbent and Daveron both very talented and are the future of the club until they inevitably get drafted.
The team MUST come to play Friday. We have lost too much talent from 2007 to perform below 100% and win. We must back ourselves in and run and play on at all costs. More leadership needs to be shown by the senior players.

It was a pity the umpire wasn't wearing his glasses last week so many times Lane was being held onto by his opponent.

I only saw the first 5 minutes of last weeks game on tv, but when I saw Lane get posession of the ball he seemed to me a spitting image of Symmons. Did look to have some class.

Here we go again - another one to join nfc's bandwagon about Eagles and their supporter base. I think your forgetting boys you guys don't have the biggest supporter base going around either. Unlike your club we have a loyal band of supporters whether we win or lose. Norwood lose a couple of games and a few hundred more jump ship.

LOL How would you know? The Eagles haven't really had many seasons to test supporters patience! :D

Don't worry about the Eagles-crowd jibes mate, they're as old (and tiresome) as the toothless wharfies, Centre-Link Centrals, Latte Legs etc ...

Should be a good game tonight, as the loser faces a daunting task to make much of their season ... I'd expect both teams to leave it all out on the Park and I'd also expect the Eagles to hit the ground running so Norwood would need to start just as brightly.

Hooray! A win!

I didn't get there till half way through the second quarter, but the Eagles looked switched on and ran out the game well. Every time Norwood got within a couple of goals, the Eagles would meet the challenge and keep them at arms length. Some poor discipline by Norwood cost them any chance they had in the final quarter.

The conditions were perfect and the game was generally free flowing and reasonably skillful. Both sides had good forward targets, but the long and direct game plan of the Eagles won out. Powell was a stand out as b.o.g. for me. Salter was very good, playing on the ball and kicking a few goals. Treeby was his usual self - having developed consistency in his game at this level to match the likes of McKenzie and Powell as the Eagles most valuable players.

Of the young guys I was very impressed with Mackie and Fitzgerald. I didn't see a lot of upside to Mackie when I saw him for the only time against North, but what I saw tonight was a tough in and under player who has excellent quick hands and does the one percenters such as smothers and tackles. That was easily Fitzgerald's best game I've seen. He now has the necessary fitness to last out the game and make the right spots. He is clever and will hopefully keep improving throughout the season.

It will be nice to have a weekend knowing a win is already tucked away.
