North vs Port this week

maybe if the game was at alberton you would have reason to be excited...it was a home game, Port due for a let down...

Last couple of years we've beaten the swampies at Alberton, but,
they've beaten us at home,
they were undefeated,
we were decimated by injury,
had 2 first game kids in the side,
and we had a come from behind win,
thats reason enough for me to be excited

And I am still excited

Given the circumstances (detailed ad nauseaum all week), this is a very special win. As Ian said, Port unbeaten, good record at Prospect, far stronger side on paper etc. We were down by 4 goals in the 3rd (?), & to slam on 7 goals in the last quarter, against an un-beaten side is... well.. special.
We were entitled to view the game as a loss, due to injuries, but more than happy (& proud) for the boys to prove us wrong.
