Would be interested to hear Eagles fans (and Norths as well for that matter) views on the performances of Matt Cooper yesterday in particular and for the year as a whole.
Believe that this is a signing that has slipped under the radar on the whole despite off season stories of his departure from the Double Blues and recent media attention.
Think that given Cooper's abilities seem to have almost been forgotten, other clubs will concentrate on Powell, Cicolella, Colville, McKenzie and Skipworth (when available) and Cooper on his day will carve up if left unchecked.

Cooper played his best game on the weekend. He has pace, skill and is hard at it. Generally he has been used in the forward lines so far, but was moved into the middle in the 2nd quarter on Saturday and immediately got a few clearances. The midfield was probably an area we didn't need to improve on as much as the forward line and if a player of Cooper's quality was a tall CHF we would be raving about him. In the end, even though we picked up Cooper before Stokes was drafted; he's been the perfect replacement for Stokes.
