Port look shaky

Postby doggies4eva » Fri Jun 23, 2006 1:30 pm

With J Clayton out and Butcher and Waterhouse under a cloud Port are looking vulnerable.

If South want a serious crack at the finals they will win this one.

Yep couldn't agree with you more Port look too old and too slow, a la before the 1992 GF. The club is a shade of it former self. Very shaky indeed and are doubtfull without those players in. The other players just are not good enough!! The were exposed by Centrals last week as being SOFT!!!! Far softer than any Glenelg side they have played in Grand Finals

*Tassie knows whenever Port are challenged publically (especially being called SOFT) they respond with a win and as a Bays fan I want Port to win this week*
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

there certainly are some cracks starting to appear down at alberton. I would think that a few Port fans would be concerned about the form of Morrison who i believe will be remembered as a player not good enough at the afl level or sanfl. clayton out is a big concern and he was only about 50% right last week but i wouldn't think Butcher being in or out will have much baring on the result as he is just a link man, there a dime a dozen.

To make matters worse for Port.

Bullen on way home

24jun06

FOLLOWER Marc Bullen will play his last game for Port Adelaide Magpies tomorrow to return to Melbourne to support his seriously ill father.

Magpies football manager Bob Clayton said Bullen had the club's complete support in the "sad circumstances".
Clayton said: "He's been a fantastic player for us and we fully understand his reasons for going home. Family comes before anything."
