Time Goalscorer
2:05 Gibbs (Gl by 25 pts)
At this point I turned to my Panther mate (hello longtimewaiting) and said "given the conditions, the breeze, and everything, I reakon we're home now".
4:43 Kenna (Gl by 19 pts)
8:37 Davey (Gl by 16 pts)
10:43 Kenna (Gl by 10 pts)
11:52 Iljcesen (Gl by 4 pts)
13:43 Davey (SA by 2 pts)
At this point I was speechless.
21:11 McConnell (Gl by 6 pts)
At this point I was hopeful, thought the remainder of the game would be an arm wrestle.
23:48 Moore (Gl by 12 pts)
25:33 McConnell (Gl by 18 pts)
27:03 Kirk (Gl by 24 pts)
28:44 Ruwoldt (Gl by 30 pts)
29:28 Mitchell (Gl by 36 pts)
31:25 Duldig (Gl by 42 pts)
34:24 Final Siren
At this point I was again speechless.
For three quarters it had been an arse of a game in absolutely rotten conditions. The breeze going to the other end and a strong mist over the ground, it was hard to see what action there was from Snout's Hill.
For South to turn it around and come back from the dead in 10 minutes of absolutely brilliant running footy, especially in those conditions, was spectacular. One of the greatest ever comebacks, as drebin was set to describe it, if they had won.
For Glenelg to weather the storm and then turn it back around on the Panthers was equally amazing. To win by the margin that they did, in those conditions and in the context of the game, is flabbergasting.
Not much else to say about the game at this point; I still don't believe what I saw!
Good to meet up with WCP. I hope you break your curse some time soon fella, just hope it isn't against the Bays
