Like all teams it depends on injuries. But I have always thought they have lacked quality depth and even more so this year after recent retirements. What they have done well is manage to get close to their best 18 on the ground come July/August and especially Sept. That's been the key to their success. But can they keep it up?

But the BIG WORRY
Ports are back to those days of a TOUGH side, they ran through the west warm up, flattened Ben Haynes the first bounce and have a player called Jeremy Clayton (Now i see why he won the magarey medal, would play well ib the power side and if he is not better than some of the players in the AFL i will go and jump. They put a little fear into the young westies players and some older ones, Their spine of Archee, baird, clayton, Morrison (i liked him) and Shithouse is very talented.
Keeping Maric in the side for the season and not in the crows will be crucial and i posted a comment earlier who is Troy Butcher and now i can see why the bays didnt want to let him go.
The roosters have been backed heavily for the cup as have ports and i can see why. A few injuries will dampen there season as the b's dont go real far but injury free BEWARE the magpies
Well, Well, Well to those smart bums who said who did they play, westies are a very much improved side but the magpies are a very good unit at full strength. They destroyed the reigning premier, but certain know nothings like Centurion, Adelaide Hawk, SBR, Sydney-Dog & Punk Rooster believe that its too early, they are a very good side. Now from your replies where are the eagles and centrals now. At this stage ports norths and maybe a bit of a gap to the pack.
PS if Jeremy Clayton is not better than 20 or 25 of the Port Power list id jump, as well as a few other AFL sides, how unlucky are you not to be redrafted after a medal, your first two games of 06 you are BOG and you see some of the hacks going around. And for North supporters Nick Gill is in the same boat but his kicking lets hime down a bit.
