i understand that he is missing because of a WEDDING but a SOUTH player earlier in the year did miss a GAME due to WORK COMMITMENTS.

How come nothing was said about that????????

This is more commonplace.
John Riley (North Adelaide) missed a fair bit of football during the late 80's, as he was required to go to Burma (Meanmar?) for his work (rocket science type stuff).
& a fair few footballers who are firemen have missed the odd game- didn't one of "you own" miss that last month or do of footy last year, to do Fire Service training (or similar)?

yes at the time our captain missed a game due to work commitments, but there is a big fuss about a player who has missed a game due to a wedding. Maybe he was committed to the wedding even before bing drafted by South.

obviously north are so precious that they wouldnt recruit players who put family and friends before footy. I mean how silly am i to realise that there is more to life then a footy club.
