Could someone or the above please explain to me why my son was not allowed onto Woodville Oval at half time when they had no mini league, and how they could run out of hot food by half time.

If you want people to go to local footy you have to do better than that. I guess that's why Port had 70% of the crowd today.

Some more Eagle bashing, at 1/2 time me and a mate went
into the clubrooms for a beer and to watch the Foxtel footy game.
We did not find a Foxtel tv, we did not have that beer either.

The club only needs about $700 for foxtel subscription per year,
much less when you subtract the crowds it might keep at the bar,
or visit the club to view Foxtel sporting attractions.

$305,000 is the salary cap
Whats $700 for Foxtel

The same thing happened at Noarlunga when I was there in regards to the half-time activities. That came up on 5RPH last night, can't remember who made the comment about having half the field for the mini league and the other half for kicking the ball.

I think they have Foxtel in the Bistro on Port Road, but of course that isn't much good on match days.

I think it was Rec Footy. They were handing out flyers after half time. I don't understand why they wouldn't let everyone have a kick at the other end of the oval.

my belief with foxtel installation in this state .. if installed in a licensed venue its a $ 7000 install and $ 12000 per year for subscription ... u can pay about $700 in a business, shopping centre, etc but not where alchol is served

I think you're close here. I'm no expert myself, but I heard that licensed venues were charged an absolute mozza to show the mundiene / green fight, so perhaps the fee structure for licensed venues is more complicated than a flat 12 grand fee?

Regardless, it sure as hell aint 700. Everyone would own a pub if that were the case.

Those fees would help explain why some clubs do not
have a Foxtel service, thanks for the answer Ding.

Well mate you sound like a POWER fan because if you followed the SANFL you would know that you are not allowed on any oval at half time , and in fact if you watched the abc telecast on Saturday you would have seen that South Adelaide had something like that going on their oval as well.
Plus when you watch SANFL at ADELAIDE oval you would know that you are NOT PERMITTED to take FOOTBALLS into the ground !!

Shouldnt throw stones mate the last time I went to Alberton PORT POWER fans were FIGHTING with MAGPIE fans over whose oval it was !! AND YES YOU GOT THRASHED THAT DAY AS WELL

cheers
ENJOY the finals magpies96 you will only play in the elmination final if you play like the weekend again

A display of Rec Footy was on at half time - a modified game for adults to enjoy - info flyers given out at venues where display was on - SANFL ruling is that no-one except organised events on oval at half time.

Re food etc. will check out - wasn't aware of this problem - thanks for the post Magpies96

Foxtel at our 7 day venue on Port Road - Woodville oval open 5 days a week - Wed to Sun thus costs to run at both not in our budget - much more than $700 - Woodville Oval has TAB service and TV coverage for the punters

(Personal Comment ONLY - reckon kids could have been allowed on southern end)
