Congratulations to South and its fans. Too hard, too intense, too bloody good.

I'm glad that you lot finally get your day in the sun; enjoy it. Special cheers to GoSouth, longtimewaiting and WCP. Hope you enjoy your day next week regardless of the result.

And now the Bays are out, GO PANTHERS, at least until they keel over.

Hey ho, think I'll start on the weeding next week....

Great win today by the boys. I think in the end we wanted it a little more than the bays. As a long suffering supporter of this proud old club all I can say is it will take a fair bit for me to be upset tonight. This is a healthy stride forward for a club that has struggled for eons. We now have to put ourselves in the position to play finals every year.It was great to see so many southees at the game today, I think we even outnumbered the opposition.
Ellis was sensational today , 8 goals speaks for itself. Davey was inspirational particularly in the 3rd Quarter- he wont be playing for us next year- chocko and co were keeping a keen eye on him again today. Scooter Mcglone and boofa Wright were great also.
Next week it looks like we'll be playing Port, and I think they will provide strong opposition despite the fact that we beat them by 15 goals last time.

Make that 18 goals. Could be a good motivational tool for us next week.

Another classic reason why we shouldn't be finishing our season a week after the AFL does.

Bad luck Bays.
Well done South.

The first step to somewhere for both clubs I think, just that the Bays have to wait a bit longer to see what they can do.

All the best to South and the other 4 teams in the finals. I think South should do well, they are good enough to be there and are not just making up the numbers in the top 5.

Ah Well, Such is Life. Passion makes you do strang things like travelling 700 + km to watch my beloved Bays miss out on the finals.

Glad I was there to see the Boys have a go for a half, the less said about the 2nd half the better.

South to desperate and too polished in the "premiership" quarter when the game was there to be won.

Next year we have to work with the kids and develop again for a spot on the fianls, and we need to keep Mitch and Mouse.

Glad Sunny played well he is a key for our future development.

Memo to Port Power and the Crows, you need to look at trades to get, Phil Raymond, Andrew Mackie, Jordan McMahon, Daniel Bell, Brad Ottens (??), Ryan Gamble, Josh Whilloghby.

Honestly still too numb from losing to really comprehend what this loss means.......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Josh Whilloghby is likely to be delisted after a few seasons on an AFL list without a senior game. Imagine what the Sydney FL have done for is career too.

That was you at the start of the last quarter who said hello to Wedgie, wasn't it! :)

I was standing next to him, I was just about to say "You're Tassie Medallist, aren't you?", but you left.

Yeah sorry Spelly, I was keeping an eye on a 3 and 1 year old....Got to start this indoctrination of youth early.

I know it is against the UN rights of the child, but bugger it, my kids are going to grow up worshipping the Great God Graham and all who have been annointed in the black and Gold colours of Brighton Rd....

praise be to Graham, I am not worthy......

*Cue witty comments by punky*

Shhh don't tell anyone cause I know noone reads this site but my eyes got a bit misty on the way out to the car....

3 yo kept asking, "Why are you upset Dad?" "You'll learn son, You'll learn" At least I heard him say "Go Tigers" for the first time yesterday....

How many times this year did Glenelg beat a team who were above them on the ladder at the time of the game? I think South are the more dangerous team and will have the other sides in the 5 looking over their shoulder. An excellent year for Glenelg. They performed above expectations for the majority of the year, but just weren't good enough against the good sides. A shocking kick by their star recruit across goals in the dying minutes against North has ultimately cost them a spot in the finals.

Still p!ssed off by the loss but starting to reconcile myself to it, **** it hurts real bad. Even though I am thankfull for a season that we exceeded my own expectations but to fail in the last three games hurts like hell. One big advantage we have for 2007 is that this year we have a coach who is aware of the players abilities and is planning for next year as we speak, as opposed to the club having to find a coach.....
