This post is "done and dustered", MaCabe found guilty and reprimanded, free to play this Saturday against the Bays and continue their push for their 6th Premiership in 7 years......How exciting and humbling it must be for all supporters of the SANFL, to be associated with such a powerhouse team/club......Go you Reigning Premiers, Reign on!

The 'bump' was a charge. 2-3 weeks rest required.
The incedent by the fence was not a problem. If the was a brawl within spitting distance of any group of 'passionate' supporters the would be words and push and shove but thats the extent of it. words and push n shove not pretty but not a great problem. play on.

I disagree. Let the players push and shove but the Crowd should have got out of the way and stepped back.

I think we agree with each other here. I think the crowd 'should' have stood back and got out of the way. What I'm trying to say (with my limited powers of written communication) is that if the incedent had happened in front of the centrals end to enderd or the snouts etc etc I think the would have been words and push n shove. But no punches were thrown, hair pulled or testicles kicked so in the end no real problem. Not pretty but also not a big deal.

Last year in the finals series in the CD v PA final at Adelaide Oval, I watched Waterhouse punch a Central player 3 times in the head but no report was made. It was played a couple of times during the rest of the match. During the week, still no report was made, so I rang the Kun Kennington & Korns show & asked why. They said that the umpires must not have seen the incident. I said "why not report on video evidence"? They said that it is not fair because not every match has a camera at it. Also, if a team does not complain during the week, no report will be made, or anything looked into. So why is this case different? The umpires obviously didn't see anything in it, otherwise one of the maggots would have made a report, surely! Seems to me that the only reason that a report has been made is because of the constant moaning & crying being made by the Magpies supporters & maybe their club, too!
Also, fair enough, be emotional & support your side but try not to incite any shit to happen at the next match. If you do, you could regret it, believe me.

Just watched the incident.
Don't barrack for either side so here's my two bobs worth.
Pretty weak on McCabe's part.
Butcher was watching the ball in the air and McCabe had no intention other than
to clean up Butcher.
Would have been a good hit if it had been in play, similar to Koschitzke/Giansiracusa.
Deserved two weeks.
And good to see Centrals & Port fans articulating themselves with such genteelness.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Ask yourself how a certain Norwood captain got reported after the 1997 Preliminary Final before you start making accusations of squealing.

Nice try, Topsy, but Centrals didn't make a complaint regarding that issue.

And it serves what purpose to bring it up now? I hope you didn't think we were waiting the season out just to get your opinion?

He tried a few cheap shots in the GF as well. Only played one good game in his career, unfortunately that was the 2005 Grand Final.
