My original post in this topic (and take extra note of the website discussed, ie the official SANFL website):

How would you improve http://www.sanfl.com.au
Just interested in others thoughts on what they'd like to see on the official SANFL website.

Personally I'd probably like a stats section and more historical component and obviously I'd like for it to be updated more regularly, lot of empty pages at the moment.
I'm unsure about the current design, it might look alright if it was scrubbed up a little bit.

What do others think they would like to see on the official site and what they can see as being improved?

Just to get us back on topic. The SANFL site: I would like:

1. A faster server as they take ages to load (unless its my end)
2. Phil Herdens stats to be a HTML page and not a down load.
3. Season aggregated stats for all players (like the AFL)
4. Also stats for ressies and lower grades.

1) Reults of every game need to be available- select a year, select a round, choose your game- quarter by quarter scores, goal kickers, best players, crowd & umpire. If possible, each teams playing list & guernsey number.
2) Probably linked with above, but ladders round by round. Again, select a year & round, see where your team was etc
3) A decent tribute to SANFL life members/200 club etc. Maybe a colour photo in club colours, a bio & some general info on them- give them a decent tribute, and keep it current.
4) Have a club profile, with club logo, address of club, ground dimensions, Premierships/Wooden Spoons, bus access to ground, Magarey Medallists, Champions Of Australia etc
5) Update it regularly. Hang on, that should be done anyway!

Ironically I caught up with dasher at Prospect on Wed night at the AGM and he's a top bloke. He takes it all in his stride and thinks its just good fun.

Like others have suggested, live scores would be good. Doesn't have to be massive with stats and stuff (though it would be good too), but just something with the scores pretty well live.
