Agree
Will nearly win the Magery Medal if Jars plays him midfield.

His form in the midfield was exceptional before Melbourne pinched him.
I know SYDNEY DOG is a shit stirrer, but I am the serious one.

my comment was tongue in cheek

Motlop will be a good player for North at SANFL levelbut watching North in the finals they need a different style of player and a different style of play to win a premiership

Agree Motlop could win a Magarey, but I am not convinced he could deliver a flag

Go to the Northern territory results and you may find he has continued playing up North in the off season

You get a bit wrong don't you Rooster Chic despite your claims to know so much?

Who says I know so much?? I'm the first to admit that... I know SOME inside information but would never go so far to prove that I am right with every post. Besides, I didnt get the bolded part of my post wrong, anyway.

the only point I was making, even though it is a good signing, in my opinion North still needs to find a few hard body, tough in close players if they are to improve on their recent finals performances

Not quite S/DOG at the end of the season in games v CD and EG they showed
a lot of intensity compared to the free flowing goal sprees earlier in the year.
CD + EG gave them hidings in earlier matches.
Thet beat CD in a tough game at the ponderosa late in the year.
They got very close to the EG in the prelim final despite having about 100 less possesions.

I reckon they are hard enough.
I reckon they need a couple of quality small players with crumbing skills + pace.
Their talls are awesome.
Motlop will help, he is a good crumber.
Francou is another as is Howard[who missed the prelim final]

Need a speedy rover to complete the jigsaw puzzle, maybe they will get off thier
arses and recruit that player.

I think the final margin flattered North in the Prelim. If the Eagles had kicked straight they would have been 10 goals down in the first half and in the end the game was over at 3 quarter time anyway. Central also killed them in the Semi and it was only late goals in dead time that made the score look respectable.

Motlop will be a great pick up and will add to the talent that is already there. Their midfield is still suspect though, as is their back line and besides Gill, who is a fantastic tall player, the rest have plenty to prove. They were around the mark this year, but I think they need solid tough midfielders and backmen in order to go to the next step. They may well recruit some of these in the of-season.

I love that signature Aerie, that play just typifies how it was going our way on the big day for a change. 8)
