Was it one of those footys that the players were handing out to kids in the crowd after games?

I've seen a few kids kicking those balls around lately. I reakon that has been a masterstroke by the club. Not only gives kids the incentive to get down the park and have a kick, but also makes them aware of the GFC and the SANFL. The other clubs ought to start something similar.

It is a great initiative but you'll find more often than not the a majority of those kids would have them from Auskick sessions where every kid gets a footy of the SANFL club that they're in that area. We have 2 South balls to compliment our 6 North balls as well as a few normal sherrins.
My oldest Auskick ball which was a generic red ball sits in my lounge with Barrie Robran and Wayne Carey's autograph on them, a couple of handy footballers. ;)

Good to see the Blues getting stuck into the "team bonding exercises" in the very first training session
