I gotta agree with RL, every clubs home ground should be, by now, iconic (with the exception of perhaps South, but hopefully this will happen with time) and form a unique and fabulous part of the SANFL to my mind ... As much as I love going to the Parade I also enjoy the visits to the Bay, Woodville, Alberton etc .. So most definitely NO, to my mind, they shouldn't play anywhere other than Unley!

I can't think of anything worse than one of the local club's leaving their home ground for Adelaide Oval or similar.
It is such a big part of a club's identity and support base.
The only thing which could sway them would be council bloody mindedness, as all these ovals are council owned assets.
Council's like Unley, Prospect and Charles Sturt all from time to time been less than supportive of their SANFL club's, for whatever reason or agenda they may have.

Westies Sarge you have lowered the smart bar by the country mile with this Post. I am not a fan of Unley oval but Sturt need a home ground and they prefer Unley. The question to go commando or wear dirty jocks on a date has more merit.

i dont mind unley but i think it needs better spectator facilities and a better playing surface i only posted this because i wanted to find out your personal thoughts not to offend anyone i am sorry if i did but some thing needs to be done i'm sure many of you have seen the playing surface when it is raining its a BOG and the spectator facilities are not world class im not saying westies are that great either but at least at richmond you can choose to watch the game all around the ground, not half like unley, look what happened between the sturt and centeral cheersquads last year....

I'd like to see Sturt to move to Wayville where there'd be a better surface, better facilities, better parking, better viewing areas. Don't have to worry about graffitti or clowns doing donuts on the oval or putting up and taking down fences.
It makes sense.
