As that was a game at Unley I assume Murray Bridge is Sturt's area?
Interesting move, perhaps they've given up on a Finals berth and thought promoting the club in its area was more important?
Probably not a bad idea.
Long trip from Noarlunga for the Southites!

Murray Bridge isn't so bad, I drove to the Bridge the other day just to see a friend for lunch and then drove straight home again. :)

Not a good idea.

Leave the game at Unley but please transfer the July 1st game from Arctic Park to the Bridge

Didn't a scheduled pre-season game there this season get cancelled because of a poor surface?

Yes, that will be interesting this time around, will they have used a heavy roller to flatten it out?

Not entirly a silly idea. Murray Bridge is a fast growing area and surely the oval couldn't be any worse than Unley in its usual state at the end of winter following a bit of rain? :yawinkle:

Quick trivia question - which Adelaide Crow listed player played their only game of the SANFL season at the last game held at Murray Bridge and was adjudged best afield? It was the last game he played for his SANFL club.

Is that player still playing for the Crows or is he retired?

I Believe that Glenelg and Sturt were due to play a trial at Murray Bridge but the ground was deemed unsafe and the game was transferred to Alberton.

Sturt have also moved a game from adelaide oval this friday night to sat night at norwood!!!!!!!

why? how much did they get for this?

The SANFL swapped the Sturt/Norwood neutral game at Adelaide oval on June 17th with round 22 for those clubs. There was no deal as is being alluded to.

I reckon it was South v Sturt...
Therefore, I've narrowed it down to-
Matthew Powell
Toby Kennett
Nick Laidlaw

But I don't think it was any of these 3... I'd go Matthew Powell though (only for a Bun)

No, it was Sturt and Norwood. Jonathon Ross is my next guess.

Round 5 1995
Norwood 5.4 9.8 12.14 16.17 (113)
Sturt 5.1 7.2 13.3 14.4 (88)
Murray Bridge, 3012
