WEST
Experienced West Adelaide pair Adam Hartlett and Daniel Caire have been recalled for Saturday’s contest against Central at City Mazda Stadium.
The premiership defenders have been listed on the extended interchange bench after overcoming hamstring strains.
Whether they retain their place in the Bloods’ final 21-man list remains to be seen with two players to be trimmed from the five-man bench before the start of play.
Possible debutant Jack Evans – originally from Flagstaff Hill – faces a nervous wait after also being listed on the pine.
Former Richmond defender Brad Helbig has been sent back to the Reserves.
Wingman Nick Homburg, who has been battling a nagging ankle ailment, will play his first match of the season in the Reserves.

Fremantle are currently "pulling a West" also. They don't have any cups to console them though, so you're one up on them.

Westies are playing dirty at the moment. If the umpires don't take control of this game back it could get ugly.

Even the ground announcer waved the white flag, playing our song after the 3rd quarter. It got worse though because they played the Crows song after the final siren.

West 7:16
Central 16:9

Includes a 9 goals to 3 points third quarter. Actually closer game than I thought.
Westies outscored the Dogs by 4 points if you exclude that 1 quarter.

Geez, you'd think Channel Seven and the SANFL have afforded that mob enough exposure already this year without West giving them freebies.

Consolation for West fans, perhaps, they did go toe to toe for the other three quarters and won a couple of them for the third match running. (edit: TRB beat me to the punch a tad there.)

Anyway, well done to our boys on a solid win, and a punishing third quarter that was the difference. Knocking on the door of the top three.

The Eagles at Woodville next week a big assignment, defensively one of the top two in the SANFL this year.

Yes. Thought the hit on Edmead was reportable. It was late and high. However it happened on the other side of the oval, so maybe I didn't get the best look at it. From where I was it was very Jonas like, only front on.

Fielke was lucky an umpire (because the ball was 50 metres away) didn't see him drop both knees into Goodrem's back too. Real tough stuff kneeing someone on the ground when they don't know what's coming.

Willets also pile drived Kavanagh into the ground then gave him an elbow to the head for good measure. That one happened right in front of me and it looked terrible. Kavanagh is lucky to be walking the way he landed on his head.

Still have to go over the video yet.....just ask South Adelaide.......Sturt's coach sent in some vision asking for some umpiring clarification and the SANFL pulled a report out of the vision supplied on South's Captain.......
