just reading the tiser site and saw this....thought it would be on here by now...unlucky for the guy and hope he gets a good crack at afl footy.

I wonder what the full extent is and what effect this will have on the NAFC.

He'll be right, its not as bad as the article suggests and if anything it will assure he plays a few games for North which is a good thing. ;)

He said tendonitis occurred when a previous injury - such as a tear - had not healed properly and becomes inflamed.

Did North mismanage the injury?

Very unlikely - you see, they were champions of australia in 1972 and made a big profit last year, so that pretty much rules out everything bad associated with North Adelaide.

My question was serious as I believe (as stated on here) that North have invested more money into the medical side this year. After the club had a horror run with injuries in 2006 is Gill's current situation a result of North lacking medical 'expertise' last year? Obviously North feel there was an issue hence the increased spending in this area....

Gill has flogged himself on the track with the Crows trying to build up his fitness to an AFL level which wouldn't have helped. A lot of Crow players are going down with tendinitis... McGregor is the latest.

Four months into the Crows' arduous conditioning program, Gill hasn't made it through one main training session with his new team-mates.

"he hasn't done any real training with the group since basically the first day he got here".

According to Schwerdt, he "stirred it up" at his first training session with his new club and again on his return to training after a few weeks off.

Not sure what champions of Australia has to do with managing of injuries in 2006 but I was quite critical last year of the training that was being done, in fact I was quite critical of the club in many areas in that regard.
Mind you North seemed to hold him together better than the Crows have done. ;)
As I said before, its not as bad as reported in the Crapertiser so don't stress, if anything its just good news that we'll see him in the SANFL for a few games which we might not have done had he not been injured.

Well there have been some changes in the medical staff at Roosterland following last years run with injuries and lets just say not everyone was in agreeance on who should be in charge....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You don't need to if the only source mentioned is the Advertiser.
If it helps my info is a little closer to the mark. ;)
