I don't think media are keen on Elizabeth at night, they also didn't cover the Central v North match in Rd 1.

Dunno about that, it was just a wrenched knee, he didn't do any ligament damage to my knowledge.

Only one way to be part of it

Looks like there is only one way lovers of Aussie Rules footy in this town will get to experience Saturday night's match and that's to be there.

Darryl Smith on RPH this morning wanted to give the reason why this week's Dogs Vs. Port game and the First Round clash Dogs Vs North were not covered but couldn't. Maybe it was a league decision and RPH are "gagged" or even something to do with 5AA but I'm only guessing?

In any case it is a poor decision not to have had either of those 2 games broadcast by someone!

Just out of interest I watched the DVD of North/Nwd game and the 5RPH commentators in DB and Blandis were bloody hopeless. Grant Coffee was ok but spent most of the time correcting the other two and explaining free kicks and why they were given becasue of the stupid uneducated comments of DB and Blandis. Seriously it appeared as if they had never seen a game of footy before???

Continually getting players names who do not have the same build or height mixed up is amatuerish, alhtouhg the lighting at Norwood Oval is a disgrace so that probably contributed.

Also Paul Blandis making reference to Shannon Motlop getting in a little altercation with a Norwood opponent and being on an AFL list and don't do anything stupid to miss going back to the big league next week just shows what a complete ignorant fool he is. Send him packing - plus he is anti North and that bias more than not creeps in.

As for DB and the continual use of the "smithfield crash clanger" line - it is so bloody annoying! Time to pension him off.

Bring back Phil Herden!!!

Jeremy Johncock is a bit stiff
Playing on debut[?]
He has lost a stack of weight[about 15 kgs]
Gets the hospital handball from Feast and Cubillo irons him out with a shirtfront
Comes back on and plays on with a fractured wrist
GUTSY effort
And a game he will never forget

Whilst being watched by his more famous cousin who graced the Taj and sunk a few cans of the amber fluid too in strong preparation for imminent comeback with the Crows  He and the family seemed to enjoy the day. See what beer does for you - it makes you happy!

I can't believe the Central V Port game isn't being covered! I'd planned my whole Saturday morning around listening to the game. Now I'll have to rely on text messages from my parents.

WOODVILLE-WEST TORRENS
Injuries from the weekend’s game:
Steven Hall – foot – 5 weeks
Justin Cicolella – groin – 3 weeks
James Rimington – ankle – 1 week
Players still on the injury list:
Ben Schwarze – ankle - test
Tim Inkster – knee – 1 week
Gavin Colville – shoulder – 2 weeks
Brad Geddes – broken arm – 4 weeks
Christian Grocke – knee – season

I am generally not one to wish certain players miss games, but the players highlighted make habit of playing exceedingly well against Sturt, so to see them listed on the sidelines for our trip to Woodville warms my heart just a little.........

I do acknowledge WWT have many great players and are still very capable of making mince meat out of my Baby Blues if we play like we did at the weekend v North.

We desperately need to break our hoodoo and get our season back on track at 4-2.

...... Not that desperate mate.

We won three games for the entire season last year, so from that point of view 3-3 would not be a disaster and with West @ home the following week we could turn it around. I believe we need to win for the confidence of such a young team.

To match it with North in the second half was, despite the final margin and the poor performance in the first half, pretty encouraging. Play that same game this time last season and we would have lost by 12 goals +.

The Blues are on the right track I am sure of it.

Is it just me or has Aufderheide been 4 weeks away for 5 weeks now.

Ware has a lot to prove as far as I'm concerned. Needs to be more consistent and get more ball. Finishing could improve a touch as well. Could be AFL standard if he puts it all together, but sadly has probably burned the last chance he'll get.
