should be a good game, norwood will be the clear cut favs, they are in much better form then Glenelg.

I think the forecast may help glenelg reduce the losing margin.

Norwood have a habit of playing well against good sides and then letting themselves down against the "lesser lights". It will be a good test of where we are at this week against a side that has had the wood over us in recent games. The evenness of the comp at the moment dictates that you show each side you play respect. I for one am looking at this as fifty fifty.

norwood is probably the one side we do have 'the wood' on & being the last real chance of anything i expect to win & i'll be visiting johnny or curly on friday (i think the points will be a great bet)

Bays huge show this week, coming off the bye, have the motivation, have a great record against the legs and Norwood have a short week and will be floating a bit after last weeks win...

Interesting that there has only ever been one draw. Coincidentally it was at Coopers Stadium (the ground formerly known as the Parade!) and with the weather forecast suggesting a low scoring game, could a draw be a possibility?

That was a superstition thing, I really think the Bays will win this week, but hope I'm wrong naturally ... I'm not sure how our boys will fare this week against a decent team

the legs will back up in a close one. glenelg always seem to bother norwood much to my dismay. certainly the game down at the bay last year in which norwood kicked their first in the shadows of half time made the drive up anzac highway seemingly endless.

Wedgie, with Adel Oval out of action it leaves only Norwood to host Fri night games.
Rd1 was a Thurs night but would have been a Friday if it wasnt Easter weekend.
Rd2 Norwood Bye
Rd3 Norwood away to South
Rd4 Norwood away to Sturt
Rd5 Friday night game vs North

Are you suggesting one of 2 things?
1. Norwood to play just home games for the first 4 weeks of the season.
2. Norwood Oval to host nuetral Friday night games

I don't have a big problem with either of those suggestions but how hard would it be for the SANFL to program a Friday night match at Norwood Oval in the first month of the season? They don't seem to have a problem with programming a Friday night match in the coldest month of the season, its not rocket science surely?

good enough for me, bays to win easily. If I were you I would put money on it

Which is a fair portion of the reason why crowds are down so far on last season. Not having Adelaide Oval doesn't help with any time the matches are on there, either.

Crowds will be down this year I have no doubt and its due to the stupid programming mainly giving clubs Sunday matches when they don't want them.
The SANFL tried it 10 years ago, it failed, they forget it failed, try it again, it'll fail again. They're morons when it comes to programming (or only have a 2 year memory).

Sorry about that but I wouldn't have thought that the figures were down considerably on last year given the success of CDFC's night games and the seven odd thousand at the first Norwood/Port game.

I wouldn't have thought so either, but I still do think they'll be down considerably eventually.
Mind you it is a relatively even comp at the minute which my help.
