I went with the Eagles (Surprise), because we were the last team to beat them in a final.

i think quick teams are the teams that are more likely to trouble central, which are sturt & glenelg but if glenelg got to meet central we'd be probably too tired to go that extra step, so i went sturt

Bayman I think North are quicker than Sturt. But finals football is different than minor round games you need more than just speed .Hence thats why I picked EAGLES.

Eagles for mine...I think the players they have got back/getting back will be better for a rub over the next few weeks and they'll be primed to get a flag for Colville...

Yeah Macca got one, just on Gavin Colville, Saturday was the first time I'd seen him play in over a year and he hasn't missed a beat, not as many disposals as he used to get but all his touches were full of class. I'd like to see someone different in the GF but if the Eagles do make it then it would be great to see Gavin with another medal after playing in a winning side, I dont think anyone would begrudge him that.

People getting medals for games they didn't even play in is a joke. You don't play, you don't get a medal, simple as that. The 21 who did the job earn the reward of being "premiership players" At least Paul Collingwood played in the Ashes!

PS. I don't blame the Eagles or Colville for accepting it, which was the gracious thing to do, but the peopole who decided to award it. It would have been hard for him to know what to do in that situation, and I'm not even sure whether handing it back would be the best thing. Perhaps donate it to the club to put on display or something, but you would think he wouldn't actually consider it "his". However, if the Eagles (or Colville) lobbied for him to get one, then they are just as cuplible IMHO.

Robbie West also got one in 1996.

I don't know if people actually realise, but I'm certain that that medal means little to him. I think that people on here think he is a premiership player just because he got a medal. It's merely a token gesture to him for what he has done at the club, and to selflessly pull out of the team on the day. It's nowhere near the feeling of being in the 21 on the day, and he and all at the club knows that.
