Don't think it will be a surprise, thats for sure.
The only chance we have against the eagles is if the playing group finally realise that over the next 2 weeks the spotlight is well and truly on them after their abysmal performances this year. The coach has been made the scapegoat but I beleive the players -so far have got off scott free. The next 2 weeks will illustrate clearly who wants to be there next year and for those who dont want to be , well as far as I'm concerned they can f--- off.

I am hoping the Eagles regain two forwards this week as I think at least one who played yesterday will not come up.

The Eagles will have to approach this game the same as they did against West. We've closed the % gap from approx 155 points to 43 points against Sturt and will be looking to close that gap once again to increase the possibility of finishing top 3.

Very true Aerie .First thing First lets get the win on the board and then go all out attack after we have the game in the keeping .Or perhaps the other way round all out attack , and forget what I've told the north fans about all out attack.

If we win and Sturt lose, it is possible to move into second.

Hier will return this week, with Guifredda back to the reserves?
Patrenko must be getting close to a game after BOG in the reserves. Duncan, P stewart, Rugulo and Geddes were in the best again so might be close too. Any injuries and these guys have a chance.
Ronnie could throw a surprise move this time of year..he is know to promote youngsters.

Speaking of rumours I have heard Ron will coach again next year.

Hier would replace Giuffreda.

As for other selections, I'm glad I'm not a selector!

Grocke, Salter, Paul Stewart and Petrenko would be the 4 most pushing for league selection at the moment IMO with Klun and Redden more than capable if required.

Symmons has hardly managed to get through the last 2 games. He should either be rested or prove that he can get through a full game in the reserves. He is a quality player and for this reason I would want him cherry ripe for the finals.

I'd get clarification now if McGregor will be available for all finals for the Eagles (subject to whether he gets picked by the Crows of course). If so, keep playing him, but if not, I don't see what use it would be having him in the league team when we have so many talls available for the league side needing league match time at the moment.

LEH I have an old watch at home. It displays the same time ALL day long.

This means it's correct twice every single day.

It's still worthless though.

South cant afford another pathetic first quarter. In most of our losses this year we've been 5 or 6 goals down at Q time. Unacceptable
