I'll rethink my last post. ;)

Now if the Footy Gods were frowning on clubs all the time because of thuggish actions, I don't think any club would be getting any good luck, including the one which you support.

Your wrong - we have had some luck in terms of thuggish acts over the years - when Stephen Riley ironed out Luders at Richmond in 1985.

And ok my Club is North Adelaide but that has nothing to do with it. People from all clubs - including many from CDFC - were incensed with that behaviour on GF day.

I saw further thuggery on the opposition (not toughness or braveness) and verbal abuse of umpires from CDFC players (and appartently verbal abuse of umpires from their CE too) on Saturday so my point is that they (the CDFC) will continue to get the flow of free kicks against them (including absolutely ridiculous ones) if they don't change their ways.

And We weren't happy with Sooky Schubert either but We didn't carry ON AND ON about it!

Tell me about the verbal abuse of umpires from our CE in the GF. I must have missed that.

FFS... What effing planet have you been on MagareyLegend...

I still find it amazing that North supporters REFUSE to admit that the reason James clobbered Shubert was because Mr Gowans was hit first. have you not seen the footage ??? If not, I'll get it for ya mate, trust me, you'll change your mind then...

If you were at a pub and some fella come up from behind and clobbered you for no reason, I reckon (unless you are a big girls blouse) you would seek him out and seek revenge. No doubt, James had a brain freeze in doing what he did, but I will repeat myself for the 1 millionth time. James actually copped a 6 week ban but the tribunal then reduced it to 3 weeks based on the evidence given on the instigation from Shubert.

FFS, if you are still dirty on that, you've got issues mate. I guess if they wanted to, the SANFL could have officially suspended Shubert for the 3 weeks and leave James' punishment at 6 weeks but common sense prevailed. It's a pretty good thing these days, you might want to check it out

This coming from someone who wants a job in the media but who spends the majority of his time nitpicking the media's errors. Now that's common sense.

Had the privilage of watching the replay lat night and if anyone thinks there was anything majorly wrong with the umpiring in Saturday's game they have rocks in their head. I'm not saying tehy were perfect but they certainly aren't as bad as what is being made out to be and they certainly weren't that bad that they deserved an allegeded serve from the CE of one of the participating clubs.

The biggest thing I noticed was that whenever the Dogs gave away afree kick the senior Centrals players more often than not wanted to go on with it jumper punches push in teh packs when teh player was on teh ground hence the 25-50 m penalties. So as Psuedo correctly stated it was teh relative ill-discipline of the Dogs that led to the disparet r=free kick count not the Umpires

Bay players in the same situation would stand up and man the mark and or run back to man up/ fill the space for the next act of play - discipline. Only once we didn't do that Duldig in the last and he got marched 25 m for back chat. In a word the umpires were consistant.

Yes the umpires were hot on 25 m penalties (but still apllied them correctly in accordance with law 18 and 16.7) but good players adapt - well SANFL league players should - one team did another didn't by and large.

I only thought we got two free kicks we shouldn't have - McConnells in the third when he goaled from 45 m out - the bumps on TV appeared to be in the side and Westoffs when he was disrobed no real prior opportunity - can see why it was paid as he took two steps to play on but IMO that was a tough one. Everyone other free kick was warranted IMO. I thought they we're consistent in the holding the ball rule - players were pinged only if they had prior (except my one example).

I also thought we could have had at least another free kick in the 2nd when Switala got it and was called to play on when the ball didn't travel 15 or was touched he dummied then got tackled, swung 360 deg and then he dropped it it cold play on was call. Should have been called "ball" but fair enough play on as he thought it was a mark originally so he got the benefit. BAlances out teh Westoff one I susppose.

Also LMAO when listening to RPH yesterday when they reported that Richard Williams got abused for poor umpiring - Umm I didn't know you could see Prospect Oval from the Elizabeth Oval Grandstand.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
