No need to turn on our own Dutchy. Has been part of the side for the majority of the year that has got to 10 & 1.

I would love to play sturt in a final with them being full strength, my main concern is still the woofers.

The game itself was a cracker, full of big contests at the ball (Murphy's bump in the 3rd term was a pearler) and no-one lay down at any stage. If there was a better advertisement for how healthy the competition was this year, it would be great to see it. To see so many younger fans there, with many going to Mouse after the game for a chat and autographs for one, was really heartwarming to some of those doomsayers that say the SANFL has a bit to make up on AFL still. The mere fact that the next generation of fans was encouraged to be out on the oval at the breaks and after the game will always leave the AFL far behind in that respect. This game should nearly be replayed on commercial TV to show some of those doubting Thomases that the difference between SANFL and AFL in terms of physicality is a big one, and would be pivotal in getting many disaffected fans back.
Full credit to the battle in ruck. Angus Kurtze was always going to have a tough job against Trevor Cranston, but was more than competitive all day. Interesting to see Ian Perrie take some centre knocks also, would have thought Herring might be thrown in there, but nothing doing. The hard running from both sides was a feature and some of the one-on-one contests, which probably would have led to reports at AFL level, were sensibly let go by the umpires - which was also a feature. A very good display from the three umpires to let the game flow constantly.
Ten wins in a row is a fantastic effort at any level, and the Bays fans deserve to be proud of it, but take nothing away from Sturt, they were very brave all day. A couple of uncharacteristic mistakes late just cost them when it counted. The crowd figure was interesting. Certainly a lot of fans there though.

And it's funny how u bays supporters keep bring up the elimination final win, is that because it's your only finals win in how many years??
You take 7 players out of any team regardless of them being AFL listed or not, its going to unsetle the team, but still thought sturt could win as we have good depth this year! Just a shame that Chambo had his worst game for ages on sat, not ideal! I think rick and boys will be dissapointed about loosing this game with the position we were in at 3 quarter time! but full credit to the bays!
