Let's hope so!!

What an awesome game, I've said it before and I'll say it again, fans of all clubs, make sure you come out to see your club when they're playing North as you'll see an attractive game of shootout footy that the AFL could only dream about.

Apologies to the Glenelg fans around me in the last quarter that had to endure my singing of "Gold and Black witches hats, doodahh, doodah...."

I havent' seen that many Glenelg fans at a game since 1990, awesome crowd, the kids didn't know what had hit them as they've only been used to Glenelg crowds since 1997, lets hope they stay around and don't go missing.
North supporters easily outnumbered today IMHO.

So far the Eagles have the honour of restricting North to it's lowest score so far - 18.14 (122). This is an amazing stat that North have kicked more than this 3 times in a row.

North clearly outnumbered. 3600-1000 to be kind to em.

Never give a sucker an even break

Nor ban a user for an acceptable topic of discussion.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

They weren't jeers, I was just showing them my footy!

PS Looked like a good crowd in there despite a loss.

There's a very funny story about the gazebo at my own expense.
We were there in the 3q of the ressies when the hill was sparse with people and I spent a good hour trying to work out what the initials "A S A" stood for as the sandwich board pointing towards the gazebo said "Join ASA member today".

A few fellow North fans thought I was being silly but I had no idea why. After an hour of delibration I realised the board actually read "Join As A Member Today", both Glenelg and North fand couldn't believe I owned up to that stupidity today!
I can't even blame the Tooheys New as I first saw it before my first beer!!
Derr Wedgie!

Go Roosters!! Awesome win boys... should have been a bigger margin but I'll take it!
Massive crowd today and it was exciting footy, a lot of goals kicked.... the red and whites are an excitement machine!

Borat i thought your midfield was much better than ours, and wasnt there some new bloke "the most courageous in the league" who was supposed to smash the Roosters around???

Huge game next week, Friday night Adelaide Oval vs the Dogs. cant wait!

BTW for those wondering how the GF replay went, North's reserves beat the previously undefeated Glenelg by 7pts after having a 6 or 7 goal lead earlier, I was glad that game didn't go much longer!

Look great game today, credit to North who at crucial times were more composed and always seemd to have an answer to our forays into attack. I thought we were hesitant in attacking the footy at crucial times and that cost us. Against the "Chelsea" Roosters you can't take a backwards step or be hesitant in delivering the ball to forwards. A couple of times we didn't give the crucial first give to the best options (the first) and that cost us.

A huge learning curve for our boys against the flag favourites (coming from independant supporters who I sat with - I know North supporters will deny it). The positive was that we fought it out and played soe good footy at times. The negative was that at times we didn't attack the footy and weren't hard at it, which good sides need to be.

It is now almost 10 years since I've seen Glenelg win "live" hopefully my next trip home won't be so bad and I'll see a Glenelg win.

Big cheers to the many Glenelg legends who were there today watching the current legends of the greatest guernsey in Australian Football go around. The bay oval is a great place to watch footy and I had a tear in my eye walking into the ground again, and got all chocked up talking to Farqs and Fidgey about how good it was to be "home" again.

Good to meat Wedgie, TB, Punky, Dreb, etc for the first time.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Thrilled to bits with the MIGHTY ROOSTERS winning today. Can't say that about the commentary. Stupid comments such as "smithfield clanger", "sausage roll" (when a goal was scored), "wild man of Borneo" (when referring to Nick Gill) etc. etc. I thought these were supposed to be professional broadcasters. Still hearing & knowing the result as soon as the game was over makes up for it to a degree. Please 5RPH choose commentators who can call a game properly & not show so much bias against one particular team!! From a Roosters supporter living in Sydney (naturally I am delighted with the win), I was appalled at the commentary. Please smarten up your act.

Believe me Dutchy I am grateful that I can hear the game & also access it on the web. It still does not excuse the commentators making stupid comments though.

Agreed, but I think everyone would agree and even Bays fans that it would be nice if DB, Phil and Smithy covered every SANFL game for 5RPH, I know this isn't possible but it would be nice if perhaps new blood was brought in to replace an embarassment at the station at the moment. I know Bays fans were backing up my opinion of this last year when he was having a go at the wrong Bay player/s for the club's predicament at the time. One person in particular just bring the entire coverage down which is a shame as we all agree RPH do a fantastic job and its a shame for them to be dragged down by one person.

ABSOLUTELY!! ;)

It was the only area of the ground where I didn't get to at all and I hoped/assumed there's be a good sprinkle of North fans out there.

Some stats on the game from "Statsman" on The Roost!

Some more records broken in today's win:

North 22.20 (152) is their Highest Score ever at Glenelg Oval. It tops the 22.19 (151) we kicked in Round 1, 1935!

Glenelg's 18.7 (115) losing score equalled their Highest Losing Score at Glenelg Oval against us. They kicked 17.13 (115) in Round 2, 1936.

North's 10-goal 2nd quarter is the first time we kicked 10 goals or more in any quarter at Glenelg!!!

ADAM FISHER

Number 5 for Glenelg.
I thought it was John Fidge.

I am a Norwood barracker and really
enjoyed watching an attacking game.
