Wheres the leg endurance?
Playing 4 ruckman in the one team AGAIN
Some players in this team are underdone and will most prob need this run
The Terlich axing is bewildering, at least he can run
This is Football Park, not a primary school ground
Im expecting another last quarter capitulation[unless NW has a breeze of sorts]

This years NW finals team is about 6 goals inferior the 2010 team
Having said all that, Bas has done a great job getting this slow cumbersome team into a 2nd spot Minor round finish

12-14 WOODVILLE WEST TORRENS
7-11 DEADLEGS

Didn't Norwood finish 2nd on the ladder? The way you guys are talking it sounds like you missed the 5!

For what it's worth I reckon this game is a toss of the coin.

Yes Norwood finished 2nd on the Premiership ladder
Aceman, can you tell me the results in the Norwood v Woodville West Torrens and Norwood v Centrals matches in 2011 ?
And in particular the last quarter score lines

I think it will be a full on tug of war until one team relents or maybe neither will . Eagles by 5 points ;) ;)

What changes would you have made then?? We can’t miraculously conjure up quick players, there simply isn’t many truly quick players in our squad.

Terlich’s axing is far from bewildering; in fact it should’ve happened weeks ago. He can run, but he doesn’t seem to want to run, he doesn’t work anywhere near hard enough. He hasn’t been chasing, tackling, or applying any defensive pressure, and on top of that he hasn’t been kicking goals, so he hasn’t been adding anything.

How is Will Young underdone? He’s played in the reserves for the past few months, and played league last week? It’s not like this is his second game for six weeks, he’s been playing in the reserves.

4 ruckmen? Where? Rowe should be our permanent CHF, Dawe is our FF, Doyle is our 1st ruckman who switches with Doyle when he needs a rest. Bown is not a ruckman, more so a CHB.

Many unfounded concerns from your perspective. One thing though, I do hope we keep Hughes, he's one who does provide run and carry.

From what Bassett has been saying , he is quite rightly confident ; so it will be very interesting to see if hes on the money or its been a bit of a bluff . Close one for me though !

Reinbrecht is a good ball winner but is slow. At AAMI, especially against WWT and Centrals, he would be exposed.

Evans hasn't played enough footy to be considered.

Allen is a defender, but struggled against Centrals a fortnight ago.

Donohue, it's a mystery how quickly he has fallen away. He is not quick, his success came from his smarts and good goal sense. But he's too easy to tackle, and I'm not sure he finds enough of the ball. MAYBE he could take Dean's spot, but I doubt he's in our plans for 2011.

Lot of people writing us off, just hope the odds reflect this so i can get a decent price for us ;)
Norwood has been plan ning for the finals for ages and Bass has a few tricks up his sleeve. Think Norwood will set up an excellant zone and choke the Eagles. Expecting a real slug with Norwood to get up by a couple goals and hold the Eagles under 10 goals.

Two problems holding the eagles forward line .Firstly the Eagles backline is one of the best at holding at opposition forward-line to low scores in 2011(cue spellcheck if I'm wrong or right).Just ask Port Adelaide 1 goal after half time last week .south not much better before that.
Eagles forwards dont score midfield onballers hell even the backline run down and score (cue spellcheck again)goals.

We aren't a quick side, either.

Hey, everyone can play down themselves here. No one likes to be a favourite (ok, some Dogs fans don't care because it doesn't matter). Poor form or hot form, resting players or keeping a routine, a hard match the week before or a training run. It doesn't matter on the day, because it's all about the mindset of the 21 players only.

So, I cannot see why anyone should be surprised if either of the two matches on Sunday goes either way.
