He is a registered Glenelg player, simple fact. When not required by the Puffs he is a GFC asset.

Id say the transfer fee is there to stop players getting mini-drafted and then deciding after 2 games they want to go to another SANFL club, which if wasnt there it Port could easily get all their players over to the Magpies and have their AFL reserves and kill off any small part of the original magpies that exists today.

I would think that he is a registered Port Power player who played on a (temporary) permit for Glenelg.

And it didn't take long for one of the kicking cohorts to rear his head.

Fos Williams would be rolling in his grave if he knew how much the modern day Port fan whines about everything and takes responsibility for nothing.

Case in point, Beenreal.

Fair point. Jack Cahill isn't a fan either.

You are just plain wrong. Salopek was a Glenelg player when not required by The Power. This was a permanent arrangement that could only be changed by agreement between the relevant parties. As stated previously Glenelg gave up a mini-draft pick for Salopek and were therefore entitled to compensation, which Port have paid (without complaint as far as I am aware).

you're right elmo, we didn't want him and he's better off somewhere else. he was given ample opportunity to perform at league level, and didn't. it's only natural that he will seek a bottom club to ensure he gets league game-time to better his prospects of getting back into his afl side. (sit down beenreal, i'm not kicking you while you're down). i really think the situation is win-win from everyone's perspective. why so much bitterness?! who are the other power players port magpies picked up from other clubs who have been any good? i can only recall harwood from glenelg to port, no skin off our nose...

Since you're so in tune with the thoughts of Foster Williams, perhaps you can hear him saying that you have an unhealthy obsession with Port Adelaide.

Let me return the favour with my thoughts on Norwood Topsy...

... absolutely nothing.

Because I'm only concerned with my own club and what effects it!

May I suggest you go and ponder that thought over a beer at The Alma, or whatever your mob are using as a club room these days?

Geez, I'd bet you'd like to beat us occasionally then.

I remember beating you when it counted in the '96 Prelim.

Now that was sweet.

... or when a single finals win in the last 10 years - a lower return than even what the Bays have managed - is referred to as "recent success".
