LOL. We're in safe hands, that's for sure.

'Legends' rather than 'Lingerie' is interesting...maybe 7Mate's projected audience analysis revealed an inability to spell it.

The draw will be released first thing Friday night...

I think there might be something about SANFL coverage on a certain channel's news coverage tomorrow night...

Wasn't aware it was a quiz. Just as easy to say what station considering the uncertainty surrounding the issue. Anyway we know now.

THE SANFL will return to commercial television for the first time since 1991 next season after signing a three-year deal with Channel Seven.

Negotiations about the timing of televised games and on which digital channels they will be shown are expected to be completed early in the new year.

The deal includes Eddie McGuire's media production company and is expected to cost the SANFL about $850,000 a season before sponsorship and advertising. But neither the league or Channel Seven would reveal details.

The ABC has been the SANFL's sole television broadcaster since 1991 and next year's return to a commercial network coincides with the competition expanding to 10 teams to include Crows and Power reserves sides.

It is understood the ABC was not prepared to commit to any longer than a one-year deal, and two years ago only decided to continue broadcasting the competition after pressure from a nationwide campaign.

"It's critical for the health of footy at all levels that the SANFL remains a robust competition and continues to attract strong support from South Australian footy followers," Channel Seven Adelaide general manager Tony Davison said.

"To achieve this, the competition must attract and grow a younger fan base. One of the main objectives of our telecasts will be to engage with younger generations."

The announcement coincides with the release of the fixture for the 2014 SANFL season.

Fans on the Eyre Peninsula will miss out as we don't get Commercial TV from Adelaide...

Good news for the SANFL that an agreement has been reached. Will help clubs attract greater sponsorship with better exposure.

Sad to see it go from the ABC, but overall I think it's a good thing for the competition, as a lot of clubs are struggling financially. When you add in the Crows and Port reserves to the equation, it should help the comp as a whole. As the saying goes...."the only constant is change".

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you will be able to get telecasts via streaming. I'll see what I can find out for you, don't want our country cousins missing out!!

I thought 7mate was available pretty much everywhere... the freeview website has it in Spencer Gulf, Remote and Central and the TV guide for Port Lincoln shows 7mate on channel 73.

Think you'll find that the 7 mate broadcast to some country areas is the satellite version that is particularly geared towards country Queensland viewers but is picked up in some country SA areas and some WA, NSW & VIC country areas that don't get land based TV. Signal and programming is a one size fits all arrangement, so unlikely that SANFL will make it on there on a Sat avo.
