I think Jarman could make the players actually enjoy their footy.

Would be good to have someone like him down south IMO .

2 to 3 year deal !

Agree anything has to be more fun then watching Ron's game plan!!!!!

I strongly believe Jars could rally the faithful around him!!!!!!

Jarman would be fantastic for South and their area, would certainly get people interested again.
Also it's not as though there has been any foundations layed that he would potentially be wrecking

When Jars went to North he stirred up a lot of support and enthusiasm probably because he was a favourite son returning home from the Crows and Norwood. Would he have the same effect at South ? Probably but to a lesser degree.

Would be a 30 min job tops, to contact all the South members if he gets the job then.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Andrew Jarman will not get the job at South, and I believe he has already been informed of that.

Meanwhile I am told Ron Fuller is an applicant for the Roosters job.

South need someone to inject excitement and enthusiasm .....

The new coach needs to put a rocket up the club!

Trevena ?? Well I don't know, played with one of the board of selectors in kappler....

I don't want a YES man to the board ...

Ex south coaches .... Butler , Sampson , darley .... That all went well didn't it???
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

To be fair to Sambo he stepped in for the club after Cahill walked and he prob wasn't ready for a senior coaching gig. Would have benefited from a few years as an assistant.

Does not matter where the next coach comes from so long as he has the ability to coach at a good level and can communicate his philosophies very clearly. He also must have the respect of the playing group.
The players have to get behind the coach as well! If 2014 brings limp arsed football and a disunited playing group we are stuffed!!
Also I don't want the new coach to trump another five year plan!!! Heard that too many times! Best just shut their mouth and get to work on getting the players fitter stronger and lift their sklill set. The rest will take care of itself!!

South will name Darren Trevena as the Senior Coach and a number of SAFC members will wax lyrical about what a great bloke he is and how his experience with the AFL system will change everything and that we will soon be in the finals and so on, three years from now the same people will be calling for his head having thrown another favorite son of the club onto the football scrap heap with the others. Its what the SAFC have done to every coach since Rick Davies was sacked from the club. - they have had rookie coaches, experienced coaches, rival SANFL coaches and burnt the lot. Sadly Trevena will be no different.

Andrew Jarman is the only candidate that presents the SAFC with a different model in terms of a radically different structure from someone outside of the losing culture that is the SAFC. His ideas concerning football academies for example are exactly what our feeder SFL sides could do with right at the moment. Whilst there is plenty of criticism of Jars, he lifted North up the ladder and is the right candidate for South for where we are at, in this point in time. If South just go through the motions and pick the ex SAFC player, we will continue to get the same results that we have always gotten.

Only trouble is that he never applied for the job.
