Only when the Legs decided to kick long and attack down the middle of the ground in the last quarter did it enthuse any interest.

Ugh, thats what I didn't want to hear! Like I said I know it's only a trial, but surely you practice the way you intend to play, and I suspect (and hope) the game has moved past the complete lockdown style.

I think it is more an issue of the coaches wanting a certain style and the players may not be quite up to playing it. So they revert back to "Lock it down" mode, im sure as the season progresses it will improve.
The average age of the Reserves was about 18/19 so not a huge worry just at the minute.

Just trial games, but convincing wins there to both Glenelg's league and reserves.
It would be good to hear what adventurous moves the Central's coaching staff experimented with that may have skewed that result. Or how strong Glenelg's side was.

Glenelg's reserve side had about 14 players with league experience in it including Kirkby and A Joseph

Dogs Reserves more like an u/18 team - no one with any league experience. Looked like men against boys, and it was. Dogs League team missing probably half a dozen but not sure how many of those will be available come round 1. Thought we dominated most of the first half possession wise but wasted many forward entries. Bays dominated in the second half, with pretty much the same teams out there. Pleasing signs for them I would have thought. Sumner looked good and will get better as he gets fitter. Rioli also very handy up forward. Thought Proud had a great second half as well.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Exactly
He's probably the stand out forward of the league who North had contracted and North have the least amount of key forwards in the comp and **** things up and lose probably the most club orientated player I've come across in ten years. I'm sure North's happy clappers will push the club spiel though, mindless twits.

Thanks for that Eyeofthetiger, and Hazydog.

Central just experimenting then? I don't recall reading anything suggesting that half their league side has left and they are down to using U18's in the reserves. Mind you, most of my attention these days does seem to go another topic and I could have missed something.

Give it a rest Wedgie - go ask the players at the club what they actually thought about Lewis and find out the facts as to why he quit.
