What a fantastic result for North against the odds whilst already underdog going into the game, will it help set up their season with such a gutsy win?
And will it have the opposite impact on Norwood who must be shattered?

everything i heard about the game prior to it starting suggested that north were favourites and expected to win a close one (2-4 goals) due to results from last year and supposed strengths of teams. this seemed to pan out.

any loss is shattering but it is still 18 on 18 on the field and with norwood being one of sanfl's smaller grounds, the whole interchange and rotation fitness question is not quite as applicable there as elsewhere anyway.

this being said, a win away from home is a good result regardless of circumstance and opposition.

Yeh, very glossy. May pay to check out http://sanfl.com.au/default.aspx?s=umpiredisplay&aid=106774 for the 2006 version and the SANFL variations.

A good question which, ironically, sums the whole thing up. :)

Thanks dog. Interesting reading the variations to the rules, not as many as I previously thought.
