Sounds like another classic of a game too. Even if it wasn't on telly, if it gets people talking about it at work, or in the pub, then it must be good for future crowds. This year is so unpredictable it's not real. Next week Westies will pull in a two pointer and Port win at Sturt, just to keep it nice and interesting. Think south might be punished for yesterdays defeat and North will have to overcome one of their bogey sides.

Possible table after next week (Assuming North win at the Bays tomorrow)

CDFC..... 18 if they win at South
Sturt..... 12 if they lose to PAM
North..... 11 if they beat Bays and lose to WWT
Eagles....10 if they beat north
Port.......10 if they beat Sturt
Norwood.10 Bye
West......6 if they beat Glenelg
South.....5
Glenelg...2 Wooden Spoon

What a word "if" is.... ](*,)

Mate, every post on here that forecasts or predicts an event of anykind is an if or but. That's what makes it interesting. :)

bit of a stretch saying West will beat Glenelg after Westies recent floggings while the Bays record aint flash they havent been beaten by more than 33 points this year...

I'd assume it was when North did it in Rd 22 last year.

League won by 2pts
Reserves won by 55pts
U19s won by 8pts
U17s won by 44pts

That weekend sewed up our 2nd Stanley H Lewis trophy in a row. :D

No worries mate, I might even head to Unley next week (North and all the other teams are playing on the Sunday), should have people hanging from the rafters at that game.
I could barrack for Sturt and Hargs and take some snap shots for Jimmy in the process! :D

Wouldn't be the first time you've barracked for sturt this season.

it's about time you came out of your closet..

Agree with the sentiments on this thread - what a great game of footy. Skills were scratchy at times, particularly by the dogs but the toughness around the ball was a treat to watch.

Disappointing to lose, but I don't think we disgraced ourselves. We just couldn't get out of 2nd gear all day which I would put down to how Sturt handled us and nothing else - we only played as well as we were allowed.

I was staggered to read the free kick count was 20/20 - certainly felt a lot different from where I was sitting (I was in the unbiased section, of course).

Looking forward to next week now, about time we dished out a belting to that mob in the arctic.

Agreed smac. The 'soft' free count must have been at least 5-12 in Centrals favour :)

Just a note for the punts on this forum, I noticed a centrals fan who told one of his mate mates at half time I will bet you $1 that we beat them by 10goals and a Sturt fan turned around and asked will you $100 on that. They shook hands and I have not seen anyone at the footy as nervous as this centrals guy for the remainder of the 2nd half. I wonder if he paid up?
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

i probably would have taken that bet at half time, considering Centrals 2nd half performances this year.

I was talking with a fellow Centrals supporter in London yesterday that I met in the Caribbean, and he was saying how he didn't want to check his emails because he was going to get so much shit from his Sturt supporting friend who lives in New York.

Gee I wonder who his friend could be?

I know I'm going over old ground but what a great game. Centrals were beaten by a side more desperate and disciplined than themselves. But why o' why didn't someone call for a head count of Sturt as their bench players ran onto the ground before the field umpires had officially signalled the end of the game.

a sturt fan would have taken it too, going on our last half, esp last 1/4 performances this year.
