Agreed

Miles is a very, very good player, arguably the best key back in the SANFL at the moment. I thought we should have given him far more opportunities than he received when he was at the eagles.

However it is obvious that since moving to North he has lost a tonne of weight and this has made him more mobile. This has really helped him hold down a key position.

Ferguson would still be #1, but Miles is closing the gap.

I'm glad they wear yellow every game these days it suits them.

Enjoyed the game on Saturday as I hadn't rated the Eagles after their effort against West and it appears I was right. Full marks to them though, similar to the Elim Final last year they got closer than I expected.

Fergusson would easily be the best, Fos Williams medalist, whereas Miles didnt make the team. Ive seen North live twice this year and have been impressed with Miles

I'm 6 foot 2 and follow Geelong, the Central Coast Mariners and the Leeds Rhinos so you couldn't be more wrong. No need to be rude, was just giving an honest assessment of where I thought the teams are at and complimented the Eagles for their fight! :)

Didnt realise he withdrew due to injury but probably wouldnt have made the team.

Oh dear - what are the precious Eagles fans going to say about this from the SANFL site:

Woodville-West Torrens’ Angus Poole has been offered a two-match ban for striking North Adelaide’s George Thring in Saturday’s clash at Prospect Oval.

As Poole attempted to fend off Thring’s tackle with his forearm/elbow, high contact was made to Thring, who was forced from the field to undergo a concussion test. Thring passed the test and was able to participate in the rest of the match.

Poole, last year’s Reserves Magarey Medallist, had 70 carry over points from a previous offence in 2011 which contributed to his offer of a two-match suspension.

From the same game, Power-listed Eagles utility Nick Salter has been reported for striking Roosters defender Will Dalwood.

Salter, who made contact to Dalwood’s head with a raised forearm/elbow, can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Both players have until 9am Tuesday to decide whether to accept their offers from the SANFL’s Incident Review Panel.

Now we know why the normally mild mannered Dalwood was so fired up. Salter a little luck IMO given Poole got 2 for his elbow. As I said earlier in this thread - Salter is a cowardly sniper of the highest order!

To be fair, Ferguson's selection would have been automatic so it's unlikely that would have allowed for any other CHB's to be selected, so probably not a fair basis for evaluating/comparing the players.

Ferguson is clearly the number 1 CHB in the comp in my eye's, but whilst I haven't seen a lot of Miles he always impresses me.
