All discussions to do with the SANFL

Christ, this game was giving me heart palpations with a profit for the weekend riding on the result.
Looks like the Hargy/Clive combo is working a treat and might have been responsible for the victory.
I still don't know how West were so bad against North as they seem to be really competitive in all their other games.

I doubt Westies ressies could beat the Meningie bears ressies so if its us, can we keep him?

Dunno, Port hadn't won a game going in today either.
He actually wants to play in North's interenal trial next week as he can't stand the thought of wearing another SANFL guernsey but I don't know if that would count as a game to qualification so he might be directed to head to another team for the week.

Wish I could have been there today - Would have gone yesterday but mothers day ...

If Jericho played today on the wing, i think we might have got home. Next weeks gae against the legs will have a huge bearing on the rest of the year.

Go the Bloods

What a great game of football today..nothing between the 2 sides all day.
Just a bit of luck went Ports way..Well done to both sides for putting on a
which i thought was one of the best SANFL games if seen in a while.
It's a good sign for Westies for the future. Ok, they won't win a premiership
this year but they will shake the lives out of some of the other teams.

Booney (and anyone else)

Would be interested in how you saw the performances of Port's AFL lads Gray and Willits today.

Both played pretty well, although perhaps not as dominating as in recent weeks, but they've added a lot to the Bloods side.

Someone told me that 5RPH said it was the best SANFL game they'd seen for 5 years.

Westies played some fantastic running footy throughout the day. Port capitalised on their mistakes and Waterhouse dominated, including 'mark of the year', an absolute blinder. At the other end, Cupido was too strong and too quick for his opponent. Ben Hollands continues to impress and Daniel Caire was terrific.

The days of Westies being the easybeats are over. They've got some serious talent, are playing an attractive brand of footy and will win plenty more this year.

Looks like previous predictions about the Weeds imminent departure may have been a bit premature :P

Luke Mensforth (#36 for Westies) still can't run. I used to play basketball with him up in Berri about 7-8 years ago.

I know it was only Round 2 when North played an average game and beat West by 72 points so West must have picked up considerably because so far they are clearly the worst team I have seen this year.

You'll have to get over your love affair with the Bloods, BP :)

I can confidently state that Westies and Port played a great game of football today. It was how footy should be played. Although we lost, there's no doubt that the Bloods are on the improve big time and have a fair bit of talent this year.

Best game of footy I've seen for years.
