As reported by Borat on the Snouts site, apparently David Mitchell has re-signed with the Bays. There were reports of him having a good offer to return to Werribee
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Jackson Barling has never played in the SANFL, Jimmy. He's a young key position player from Williamstown. He was expected to be drafted last year, but wasn't picked up.

Big salary cap question there with Prendergast going to South.

Also - North Adelaide in very close talks with Clark Keating.
Interesting move - club feels its premiership clock is ticking?

Hmmf, South protected species, $50K small price to pay for breeching the cap, obviously prepared to take the risk again as they know they'll only get a slap on the wrist....

Westies close to making an announcement on its recruiting for 2007.
Also hopeful of holding on to Scott Lewis, who quit the club half way throguh the season and returned to country football.

Congrats to South on picking up Prendergast, should be pretty handy. As for all the whiners wheeling out the salary cap issue, I'm not sure whether you have noticed or not but the season has not started and in fact is nearly 6 months away. From my experience it surely is agiven that South will lose a few for a number of reasons between now and the start of the season. Prendergast is a lawyer and has walked straight into a job with an adelaide law firm. Trust you start this Tassie ,you B---H! :D

Won't run away from my comments B&W but I suggest you look one post above mine.....vis-a-vis "starting this"

Fully agree though the season is 6 months away, they still have to get this years cap sorted out yet with your ins and outs....

Congratulations though on winning your first significant minor/major round game against us though, only taken you 85 years =D> =D> =D>

I'm certainly not whingeing about salary cap. Bringing it up as a topic - as it surely will be.
Correct - it's not even 2007 yet and there's still time to be leaving. But a pretty good source would told me that South would have to be giving a LOT up considering the offer made by his club to the same player.
