frees, 26-20 glenelgs way, hardly a crucifixion,
goals from frees were 3 each,
maybe time to take the rose coloured glasses off!!

I didn’t have rose coloured glasses on, tipped the bays, hoped they’d win for some mates and still thought they got the rub of the green by the men in mauve!

Maybe put some glasses on and stop viewing through your monocle ;)

I thought the Bays may have got a couple in the 2nd term, but there were decisions both ways, given and missed, especially in the 2nd half.

A couple of players had their heads taken off … play on.

Matt Allen wasn’t penalised for HTB a couple of times, but I could equally pick others that favoured the Dogs.

Overall, mainly evened themselves out, and as Stampy highlighted, 3 goals each from frees, but in no way would I say there was an overwhelming advantage to the Bays, or had an impact on the result.

The umps couldn’t bounce the ball straight in the centre to save their lives. I’d prefer to see a bounce but they should have just called it quits and thrown the ball up.

Anyway, just my opinion, wasn’t there as I watched on TV, so could be wrong. :-??
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

(field) Umpires are required to throw the ball up after a recalled bounce. However, a lot of occasions the umpires make the mistake of walking backwards as they throw the ball up which makes the ball rise at an angle rather than straight up. They should throw the ball up while standing still and then move back.

The fact we had umpires on the weekend prepared to pay a Holding the Man decision against McBean was a good thing.

Now if only they paid them all!!

I reckon he's had two this finals series and only two the previous 18 games this year.

Gets scragged every bloody week!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Kudos to the SANFL DJ on the day, had some cool alternative toons in the breaks. Pixies, Architecture In Helsinki etc.

Only been to AFL at the stadium a few times but its all Farnsey and Barnesy when the big boys are on.
