Senior Coach Update

This week the Club has taken another step in the recruitment process for our next senior coach with the commencement of the interview stage. Interviews will continue throughout next week. Whilst we are seeking to make an appointment as soon as practicable we will allow the process to take whatever course it requires to ensure we get the best candidate for the role. The panel consisting of board members Nick Chigwidden, Justin Scripps plus AFL great Shaun Rehn and myself will provide a recommendation to the board once the preferred candidate is identified. Whilst we won’t be publicly disclosing the candidates names I can confirm that caretaker coach Kris Massie is one of the five that will be presenting to the panel.

Rob Nelson, Chief Executive Officer

Well it looks like Shaun Rehn has got the job.

It's all the SANFL's fault.

But Fuller was still a part of the initial process before applying for the gig himself, which is what pp was hinting at I think.

Rowe confirmed Jars presented Friday to Glenelg. He also suggested that if Massie gets the job it was a done deal when Mickan got sacked .

I would have thought it surprising if a coach whose last tenure resulted in a wooden spoon in his last season, was appointed.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

OK , I was referring to North . I thought he also improved Perth when he first went over there anyway ? Not sure , don't follow WAFL.

You can't always solely go off placings .

Strange if true, his business is going pretty well, dunno why he'd take a step back from that and get back into coaching

His business wasn't as busy then as it has been in the last 12 months Dutchy. He stepped down from coaching at Hawthorn this year because the business was taking up a lot of his time. Rick now has Adam Switala (former Central player) in charge of the Adelaide operations and Rick, as far as I am aware, is still based in Melbourne. His wife and kids are settled in Melborune life from what I have heard and can't see why he wouldn't want to come back to coaching.
