that would be a can of worms, then the SANFL clubs couldnt accept any money brought in by the CROWS or POWER.

Why not ???

SANFL clubs dont receive dividends from crows/power due to players playing in the SANFL.

The arguement about what money the Crows and the Power bring into the SANFL and ultimately onto the SANFL Clubs is another "pandora's box"!

Some of the crap that is posted on forums such as the powerfromport about how the SANFL is raping the AFL clubs and causing Port's current financial plight is just plain lies, half truths and emotive bullsh*t from people who have no clue, choose not to find out the facts but look for a handy scapegoat in the form of the SANFL.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

True but you hear similar stuff from Adelaide supporters also. The issue of AFL reserves and the two licences are both very emotive and and complex but I think both have affect each other in the outcomes.

Pretty easy:

1. Both AFL clubs pay a licence fee annually , will stand corrected on these figures Adelaide $500K , Power : 260K

2. SANFL run the stadium that they play in so outcome would be : Revenue - Expenditure = Margin , debate has always been how the Margin is distributed.
Power and Crows want a bigger slice of this or a new deal with a clean stadium the preffered option. They will more and likely get this at Adelaide Oval however I would expect that the leasing fee would be in the order of 400-500K / game.

3. Where their reserves play is seperate to points 1 and 2 and its up to them to put up the proposals to the SANFL not the other way around. If they wan't control of their football clubs, then they need to stop relying on the SANFL clubs to baby sit their kids.
Go to the VFL daycare center.
If at first you don't succeed , then destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place

Repeating a statement doesn't make it a fact.

Please explain how does the afl teams having reserves team in another league effect our right to dividends from power/crows . As stated if we own the license we must be paid dividends .

Booney wrote: Well, from memory ( and don't quote me if I am wrong as I am growing older and the memory is fading ) but I think it was attributed to Spanish-born American philosipher George Santayana, I think he was 1863-1952 or thereabouts. He was mostly known for his theories on aesthetics, morality and spiritual life, not so much SANFL history, however.
I was stimulated to check it out in Wiki Answers.
It looks like Edmund Burke has the first documented claim:
The commonly used expression, "Those who ignore history are bound (or doomed) to repeat it" is actually a mis-quotation of the original text written by George Santayana, who, in his Reason in Common Sense, The Life of Reason, Vol.1, wrote "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Rooted in the philosophies of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle and many others to follow, his biography (1863-1952) and more contemporary interpretations and observations about man and life can be found at Wikipedia by searching for George Santayana. Stanford University online also provides an outstanding and much more detailed background on this important and profound philosopher, essayist, poet and novelist.

Santayana's quotation, in turn, was a slight modification of an Edmund Burke (1729-1797) statement, "Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." Burke was a British Statesman and Philosopher who is generally viewed as the philosophical founder of modern political conservatism.

The full quote from The Life of Reason (1905-1906) by George Santayana is:
"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Winston Churchill is also credited with the variation: "Those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it."

Rucci is wrong to equate the SANFL sides having reserve sides in the SANFL reserves with AFL sides having reserves sides in the SANFL. The key point is that the SANFL reserves competition is part of the SANFL, and its purpose is, and crucially has always been, to field the League teams' 2nd XVIIIs. Whereas the SANFL is not part of the AFL; it is a serious competition in its own right and should not contain reserves sides for an external competition. For me, the staggering thing is why on earth has Rucci for the last few years been absolutely unyielding in his determination to destroy the SANFL? What he's doing is called treachery for mine.
