As discussed, when play resumed, the centrals player kicked it to another and Grocke arrived 1 second too late with his arms out to spoil but was late and collected the player in the head with his body/arm. Its the sort of thing that happens frequently in a marking contest

What game where you watching? There was no marking contest. There was no attempt to spoil. It is not "the sort of thing that happens frequently in a marking contest".
Symes had taken a simple mark and was moving off to go around Grocke who was wrong footed. Grocke hit Symes in the head with the inside of his forearm/elbow. There was no contact made with his body. Thug.
As for the Centrals players "celebrating" the fair hit on Ainger, I noticed Grocke getting a few backslaps at quarter time, is it fair to assume that they were doing the same?

Adelaide's Team/Rushed is best player atm apparently - 12 disposals and 6 marks. Obviously the stats guys don't care much for the Crows "state league" team either.

Listening on the radio, both Crows goals have yielded almost no applause. Sounds like a solid North contingent there.
