Justin Westhoff and Wilson were the two reported. Both should get off.

After seeing Sporn get a week in the trail for a head high bump on a player losing his feet in front of him I would suggest JW is a goner for what seems to be the mandatory week also.

Gee whiz. So much to reply to....this is what happens when you stay and have a few beers and then get up late!
Doggies were good. I was little worried in the first half, but they just looked ready to explode once they broke down North's run.

Hart was a great defensive head for North - chopped a lot off early and we didn't seem to be able to get past him. Once we broke down North's midfield though - it gave the forwards a bit more room to work with.

Loved Callinan's work - hard and aggressive, did a wonderful smother in our forward line to keep ball in our zone in third term.
Slade's goal in the third was a ripper too.
Dutschke's hanger in the last was good, while Slattery looked to have fit in well.
Had a few beers with Adrian in the rooms after the game - and he didn't seem too worried about the report. Confident he'll get off.

BP - thanks for the beer. Was good. Hope your lads got to the whizzer in time ;)
You're right the Heathens on the Hill did look funny dancing around the flare.
Wonder if they knew the arresting officer was the brother of one of their star players?

Wedgie - just wondering if you're pregnant? You seem to be labouring a point a fair bit.... ;)
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

It sucks not living in Adelaide anymore (Melb now) but I'm still keenly following the mighty doggies all the time. Callinan is the man, has been carving the VFL for years, he is a seriously good recruit, our best since the Gowans twins.

Great to see them off the mark with a good win over a fairly good side.

Looks like it will be between Eagles and Centrals yet again this year.

Dogs ordinary early. Disposal , decision making and kicking at goal were terrible. With only being two goals down at half time though. Certainly werent out of it.

Luckily we delivered a great second half. Started to dominate the midfield and the small forwards started to find space. Great crowd and with the members policy of last year in GC not enforced . It was a happy atmosphere i thought.

With Recruits Callinan Slattery (thankyou West) and Grima featuring in the dogs best players. Heath Lawry worked hard at centre half forward and Havelburg and Giles showed glimpses of promise. The Gowans boys were great and look fit. Symes worked hard and Ware and Dutschke were influentual off the bench in the second half.

For North positives were Wintle was great . Recruits HArt Allen and Motlop were terrific. Apart from that it looked like they tried to play a possesion game not their usual running game. Looked good when the broke it open on the rebound . Ryswyck's lookd fit his disposal has improved alot.

I would be worried about relying on Weatherly and Alleway as the main forwards for a full season .

Paul Horwood's match report from the Roost, his match reports are targetted at a North audience but I thought I'd share here also:

LAST HALF FADEOUT SINKS ROOSTERS
CENTRAL 3-3 4-6 11-9 16-10 106
NORTH 4-1 6-4 8-8 9-10 64

Best: Wintle…………Allan, Hart, Wakelin, Ryswyk
Goals: Alleway, Ryswyk, Younie, Weatherley 2, Wintle
Crowd: 6,414 at Hamra Homes Oval

An insipid last half, where Central restricted North to a miserly 3-6 whilst accumulating 12-4 themselves, proved telling in a disappointing 42 loss to our northern nemesis.

With North willingly matching blows with the Doggies in the first half, the second half demise could not have proved more contrasting – the last two quarters being punctuated with crucial costly turnovers (due to poor disposal) and North not being able to conjure a dominant forward line structure.

Having won our previous two games at the Ponderosa against the northern infidels, in what is arguably the toughest current road trip in the SANFL, North certainly head to the northern confines with a degree of confidence to no doubt prove the pre-season hype of considerable expectation was well founded.

Indeed, the opening stoushes in the contest were promising enough as a Darryl Wintle inspired outfit matched it with the Doggies in what quickly developed as a free flowing contest – a goal after the siren to key forward Clinton Alleway gifting North a four point lead at the first change.

Two goals within the first seven minutes of the second stanza (courtesy of Alleway and Weatherley) extended our lead to 10 points (6-1 to 4-3) – however, after that both defences reigned supreme as neither side slotted any further majors for the duration of the quarter. Crows rookie Andrew McIntrye and former Crow Ben Hart were noticeably prominent in thwarting numerous forward forays from the Doggies.

Unfortunately, that was when the Easter goodies evaporated in the night air as Central gained total control in the last half with their trademark efficient use of the football, the pesky Gowan twins yet again being willing accomplices in the downfall of the Roosters.

Our best players? It was a case of Darryl Wintle and then considerable daylight to the rest, as our skipper racked up quality possessions at will, culminating in a match-high 36 possessions (21 kicks, 15 handballs and 9 marks). Having said that, perched on the outer wing was no place to readily discern the players – let it be said the lights at Hamra Homes Oval are not conducive to a deep and meaningful match report!!

One round does not make a season…and, despite the fact that the North faithful congregated on the outer wing no doubt wanted to similarly rejoice the long awaited return of local tribal football with a win, our boys can now regroup for our first home game against West Adelaide.

Until next week…

Spot on Mal turning point of game was straight after the ridiculous report of Wilson from what i saw, really nothing in it and will get off.

Too early to make any sound judjement how the team will go, but it looks like we have picked up good players, Grima, Lawry, Callinan & Slattery i think our big problem is gonna be in the ruck there is really no one to replace Scoullar.

Take nothing away from the Cocks they will definetly be a top 3 side once again this year.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.
